I am going to start to flower around 12/14/2022 I have 16 plants in 3 gallon
pots at this time, I may move them to 5 gallon pots
I need to get to Griffins to pick up 3 bales of ProMix I may go with
BX this time instead of HP as I add perlite and vermiculite myself

so this Sunday was an end of an era for me
I took down my HID MH/HPS lights and will be going with
all LEDs
the double ended are 1000 watts and the 2 single ended are 600 watts
for a total of 5200 watts
these with the one inch slats will get 14 - 2 foot
LED strips for 200 - 240 watts on a 2 foot by 4 foot frame to use over shelves
for cloning and seedlings
I am using a Mean Well HLG 240 -H 24 AB so these lights can be dimmed to about
40 watts
the other frames with the 3 inch slats will get 11 - 4 foot LED strips for 300 -340
watts on a 20 inch by 48 inch frame for vegging and flowering
I am using 5 - Mean Well HLG 320 H - 48 A for these lights
I am building five of these and two of the others for a total of 1900 watts
the first light lit up just need to finish up the wiring
I have a couple of folks here at the plant that are starting to grow inside
I have given them clones to grow outside in the past they each have a tent
I saw a couple these lights on Flea Bay while looking for a deal on LED drivers
so for 13 us dollars each for a total of 52 dollars to the door for 2 lights
I gave them to these folks they just needed lights and clones
tomorrow they will get clones
so my seedlings are growing

I went over to Pittsfield twice and came to the realization
that I make canna oil out weed that is better than what they are selling
it was cool twice to buy weed over the counter but at the price that was over quickly
the Chinese out of the City sell pounds for 800 bucks that blow their product
out of the water
but I do not buy weed I grow weed so I do not have to support narco terrorists
be safe and grow well

today is 12/14/2022 I was hoping to flip the lights on the 16 plants
I am going to flower
But it has gotten cold here for the first time this year it was
10 F yesterday morning with no wind and 7 F this morning with a breeze
I have blocked part of the room off so I have about a 4 - 5 foot by 7 foot space
but to block it off I forgot it will not be heated which will not work out so
well
when it got cold I realized that I may have to run a heater with my light over night
as the 1150 - 1200 watts of LEDs do not make the heat that 5200 watts of HIDs
do
I have had my 24000 BTU AC pounding in February to remove heat with
the lights on
I may need to wait until not week to flip the light so I can dial in a heater
setup
I will take photos tonight and will be putting up some light over the weekend

I have two 600 W LEDs in my grow room. I have to run the AC all year. It doesn’t run as much in the winter because it’s colder but it still runs. is what you said anticipation for what’s going to happen, or are you experiencing it now. your room is 5 x 8 mine is 8 x 12. Mine is also not connected to the house it is a tough shed. It is well insulated but it is standing out on its own all four walls to the outside environment. but I must say it only gets down to the 20s here occasionally in the winter. And it’s usually just before dawn, so it doesn’t stay that cold all day.

mine is a 8 foot by 16 foot building in a 25 foot by 45 foot with a 20 foot ceiling
unheated pole building garage
it is pretty well insulated but two side are against the outside walls and the wind
blows passed those walls when it is blowing
it gets down to 30 below when the wind is blowing in February and for me it
only is not windy here about 10 days out of the year
with no venting and the 1100 - 1200 watts of LEDs running from 4 PM to 6 AM
the room runs at around 77 F
block off the space and it will block it from my heater, I am using a 3800 watt
suspend heater at one end of the room
I will only have to use a small heater for the 36 hours of darkness at the start
after that I will run the flower light 6 PM to 6 AM and it can be open to the veg
space at that time and when the lights are out
