Has anyone every grown Apple Betty?

Those little assholes, the caterpillars I mean, cause all kinds of problems and you need to get rid of them before they murder your flowers. They sit an hibernate at night, I usually pick them off one by one early in the morning at first light, shake the stems a bit and they show their faces. Aweful little buggers that we have also been having problems with over the last couple years. Not even my chickens eat them. Bloody suckers, and they hide in the buds, or worse, tunnel into the plants stems. Good luck bud, rooting for you.

PS some damn nice genetics you have lined up. Looking forward to see this apple betty grow.
