There are many experts that can recommend genetics on this site.
However, this is where the industry is heading, specific engineering of strains.
If you’ve heard of Phylos bioscience, they have admitted stealing people’s genetics to develop their own designer strains.
I have serious doubts that typical breeding techniques will be able to compete, except for strains that are of excellent quality that are not commercially viable.
Thanks @solairecapital! This is a menace for the biodiversity, not only cannabis strains but everything: corn, wheat, potatoes… Small farmers and indigenous people, as always, will be the most empoverished by this high tech companies.
Regards,
The indigenous people hold all the keys, as they have the landrace strains.
For example, you border Columbia, so back in the 70s we got rid of the Columbian weed that made you sleepy, hungry and burned out… exactly the high CBD that everyone wants now!
Contact your local sources, there is Columbian strains that probably test well.
You don’t need the technology to make the strain viable in your climate, it’s already there somewhere.
Man to find an original pheno might be like finding a needle in a haystack…only thing I know of is knowing someone and even at that it’s super secret…but maybe some bank has some phenotype out there just haven’t looked honestly I’m looking for high thc levels but CBD will change the world’s health naturally… I firmly believe that!
The Oregon guys have a 5000 seed minimum. If you want to buy one of their CBG (not CBD) genetics at $10/seed a guy on Strainly who is very reputable.
Here’s a link to his listing… Hillbilly Skunk Farms. I have done a couple deals with him and he is great with communication and the seeds were here in a couple
days, very plump and healthy. Tell him Craig Goodmanson sent you… as a vendor word of mouth referrals are good to know about.
So I clear, I have not dealt with the Oregon outfit but they look pretty solid.
I would contact One World Pharma, they support indigenous peoples, have an office in Bogota.
And a facility in Popayan, Colombia which is in that general area of the world, so the strains are adapted to your climate.
Some suspiciously strange law. This is similar to legalizing your supplier from the government. Of course, it’s wild for me compared to Canada, because I’m from Vancouver. Full legalization allowed the government to get hundreds of millions of dollars of wealth, and take away a decent income from the black market from the streets. I think this is the main advantage of Canada. And about seeds, try to look in our legal stores (this one, for example: https://www.karunahealthfoundation.com/) I’m sure you’ll find something for yourself)
