It has worms, small sticks and other natural debris that normally keeps soil aerated.
What if I give the same water, just split it into 2 feeds?

I don’t think you’ve put maximum effort into getting good dirt. Check out some nursery’s local… they usually have a home made super soil or bags of topsoil… something then you just buy a bag of perlite too.

Dude you have access to real lava rock…that’s better then perlite. A bunch of growers use that instead of perlite. Just use a mask when you smash it up . That is nasty for your lungs. Matter of fact even when cleansing perlite or using a dry bag you always wanna be careful. Its super bad for your lungs, don’t breath it in.

I keep telling you all, I HAVE ACCESS to high quality dirt, I just don’t have the money. Covid destroyed my job and we live on my wifes disability. I haven’t had a check in months. It’s tight. As soon as I get money, I always purchase the best I can afford. One step at a time. I’m listening and learning. The better I get, the less I should need to rely on super dirt. That doesn’t mean I won’t use it though.

This journal is about figuring it out for the lowest possible cost. I was blessed with lights 10x the quality I had and I’m working to learn and improve the rest as I go. At all times, consider me broke and I have to do hard labor for a bag of dirt, because that’s not far off. Once we learn this and are able to apply it to a larger grow, we have an option to grow for a local disp. If we get this down, we will both be employed again doing something that we sincerely need for pain control and nerve damage. This seems a bit more personal than usual and I tell you, the reader this so that you will understand the underlying intensity of this journal.

Well God dang it then… I’m on the money with the volcanic rock… oh snap for real i got it. All you need is 1 potted plant and throw the plant out…lol seriously use the dirt and add some crushed rock. Maybe even some lime or anything else cheap or sourced local that can be used as an additive. I have a super soil recipe I can post for you. You have seaweed, crushed shells (oyster mainly) and sand all around you to begin. I’m for real homey. I think some reading on super soil and your eyes will brighten with “aha” moment. You are literally surrounded by additives if we are talking home made on the cheap bruh…

Most all dirt in Hawaii is a high percentage of volcanic dirt. The islands are made of the stuff.

Do u have any kind of nutrients u can feed it maybe it needs some food. Maybe not. Maybe it needs diff dirt or things added. Does the soil compact real hard like bag topsoil if so it needs something for aeration for the roots. Lets figure this out and not bash him. Not his fault he only has to inches. Lol
