This is an interesting attempt to keep cannabis cultivation in California on the small scale. This would definitely impact existing cannabis businesses in California. What are your thoughts?
An acre is 44000 square feet, roughly. Picture a vineyard, rows of plants, with work paths. So an actual acre of canopy could consume 1.5 acres, easily. Full season plants with irrigation/chemigation could yield tons per year, but the hoops to jump through are almost comical, and the taxes draconian. It remains to be seen if it will be a profitable endeavor for the millionaires that are investing in these grows, but many are watching.
