Hydrometer placement

Do you place the hygr
ometer at the base witht the roots or up where bud sites are?

I prefer at the top or even with the canopy where the buds are going to be. The reason being humidity and heat during flower will cause problems. When the seedlings are starting out, forming roots, at the base of the container is good to monitor the root area is also helpful.

Thank you but that didint answer the question. I have two and the one at roots are different than the one where bud sites are.

Just my thoughts on the subject. There should be a difference because heat rises. When placing near the canopy make sure it not directly under the lights or you might not get accurate readings. Also, if your growing in a tent with air intake the temperatures and humidity levels will be different than the reading at the canopy.

in flower I would have one of them by the buds

at the roots for me would be a thermometer as cold root are bad

Me too. All over. Inside out outside my house.

Canopy height and root area height… and everywhere else too lol.
