I think I have a light stress problem sick plants early veg

Hi all I have one strain in particular U.K. Riot by compound genetics which is performing terribly compared to 5+ other strains in my room. I have had them on 24 lights on so far just changed today to 18/6 because I believe that’s why this one strain is suffering here are some photos to demonstrate the problem I’m having. I also may have overwatered but every other strain has bounced back no issues

Grown in soil under LEDs room temp is 26 and humidity sits at 58-62%**

Hi @pengandstinky

Welcome to GN. Not to much to worry about because the issue is uniform from one variety, its probably a genetic mutation. It often happens with young seedlings. A couple issues you might have is over fertilization ( dark green leaves ) and like you say, over saturated soil. I can see cracks starting to form in your soil. Lay off the watering for now and give the plants roots a chance to breathe.

Some strains are more sensitive to stress than others and 24 hours of light can definitely overwhelm certain genetics—switching to 18/6 was a smart move. Overwatering could also be a factor, especially if the soil is staying wet too long. Since your temps and humidity are in a good range, it likely comes down to light stress or root issues.

Keep an eye on how the plant responds over the next few days with the new schedule. Also, check your LED height, some strains need gentler intensity.

That is called dudding. It is a trait of hlvd. A plant virus. It can be grown to production. But you want to maintain quarantine. You will not use the soil twice, as it will alway posion whatever is grown in it. When cutting on the plant, you want to sterilize each cut and the sissors. This passes thru mosture. The l in hlvd means this virus will go dormant and the plant will look normal again. But as tou see in pics, your output will not be what it could have been.
