Is it safe to harvest half a plant?

Half of my plant looks ready to harvest while it still has new growth appearing?? Is it safe to harvest half of my plant while I let the other half grow? The bud sites are dinky and this plant grew wayyy faster than the others and all of a sudden just stopped. Now the new bud sites are taking over.

Here are my other plants, any guesses on how much longer until harvest?

Look like you have a couple weeks on the others. They do strange stuff sometimes. Won’t hurt a thing to cut off the ripe buds and leave the others.

Hey get a digital microscope. Then you can look at the trichromes and see what’s really happening. I use this one.

This picture helps explain it better.

Also, regarding the terp chart… the time of harvest depends on the type of high you will receive? I thought the type of high had more to do with the strain? Indica or sativa type of deal?

For a good harvest estimate you need up close trichome pics. I wouldn’t cut anything until you can see the cloudy/amber ratio clearly.

Judging from your pics at least 4-5 weeks.
The first plant has just started to change pistil colour and none have receded yet.

They’ll fatten up more if not harvested early.

Yes when you harvest will affect the high. But strains have there own highs but this affects them. I like 15-35% amber. But depends on the strain also.
