While searching for grow lights, I stumbled on this one. I am not familiar with the brand.
For the 400 i would def look into spider farmer or something similar. Too many knobs on the light the driver to me appears to be inside the framing of the light i didnt see anything about the type of chips or driver used i would stir clear of that and scope out spider farmer if ur not particular in wanting bar style u can scope out the enfun 240w setups comes with some uv chips in the board samsung chips and meanwell drivers believe they r like 140ish per so get 2 for the price of that light will do an awesome job in flower and have uv chips for a little added uv
Personally ive ran into alot ofvthese not putting out what they claim. I recently went through this when buying a 2nd light for another tent and i ended up getting the vivosun vsfd6500 and my plants are loving it. Ive only been able to get it up to 80% power due it being to strong of light at 100% until a week or 2 b4 harvest. Its on sale usually and available through vivosun and other places like Amazon. I personally would purchase it off Amazon.com due to a much more relaxed return policy if needed and it is quicker from Amazon than from vivosun. Vivosun shipping is a slow process for some reason. Otherwise I’d find a brand name one on sale b4 going with a unknown one. Price isnt much different and even less on some of them.
The vivosun 650 light has been producing nice chunky dense buds. Super impressed so far. Only on my 3rd grow with it.
Best of luck with the purchase. Pic is of brother grimms Iceprincess/gluey strain and its at week 4 of flower only. Hopefully she doubles in chunkyness since its got so much more time to grow.
Thanks! I will check them out.
Thanks for the information. I think I’m going to steer clear of that light and go with a better known brand.
Which LED brands / manufacturers are the ones preferable on the light? What minimum wattage should you use for a 4Ă—4 and 3Ă—3 tent?
There are several good brands of LED’s. Samsung, Bridgelux, and a couple more that I can’t right now think of the name. My take is that is one hell of a deal for that much light. It is 4x4 size, 1000 watt. And you can always take it back if you test it out and it isn’t what it is supposed to or claimed to be (90 days to do that). HD has HUGE buying power. $400 is a way low price for a 1000 watt light. It has all the right diodes in it, three spectrums and dimmable, It doesn’t fold up like most multi bars do, but it has ten bars so I would imagine that your light grid readings would be great. You have to put the bars on so the packaging will be pretty reasonable (small all in a row inside the box) It’s listed on the mfg site as 5 year warranty, and $1200 price on their home page.
I would absolutely give it a try, you have three months to try it and you can just take it back if it doesn’t perform. 2.7 efficiency, and 2600 output. Doesn’t show a spectrum graph or output color… If you use and have a HD card you get a year with them and another $50 off the price $350 bucks for a $1200 listed light. Go to the boost webpage HD has a ling on that ad. And ask them for all the specs and the color output and a color graph.

For quality brands, after sales support and warranties try support quality horticultural brands like www.growershouse.com.
I sent them an Inquiry and they answered me. Forgot to ask for the brand of LED’s so emailed them back.

@sssportsmfg Did they reply with the manufacturer name of the LEDs?
I asked Grok the brand name/manufacturer of the LEDs used in that light and it said BoostGro made them. I don’t know if that is accurate.
No they didn’t I sent them a email back and told them there were people interested, but since they don’t want to provide the specs, they are going to loose sales. But then a lot of people that go to HD probably don’t know what to look for other than price.
Marty
Boost is the name of the company building the light…trust me they don’t make the LED chips.

I like this one better.
Thanks for find this one! I read through its specs and it looks really good. My only concern is that 6 of its primary reviews are by people who received the light free of charge. I’m always skeptical of numerous positive reviews from people who were given the product. However, Amazon has a great return policy, so there doesn’t seem to be a downside!
I have one right now that I purchased with my own money. I never took it past 50% as the light grew into it, Pineapple Haze stretched a lot when it went into flower, this is the first grow Ive used it on and IMHO I think its working excellent considering the price. this picture is from two days ago they are currently on finish. Also the light is 120/240 and all the in between voltages.
Samsung is getting out of the LED business as the currentley the other manufactures are making quality leds as good as if not better for a better price.
Wow! I have never grown any that large. I guess I’m learning that you can use excellent soil and nutrients, but if your lights suck, you’ll just end up with chiclets.
Amazon Prime Day begins in two days; March 25. Hopefully, that light, or ones similar, will be discounted!
