LED on top of soil

I’ve had this thought for a few weeks. What would happen if you put lights on the bottom of the plant? Like if you had a big canopy on top but small nothing on the bottom. Would it actually help develop or just light burn? Anyone with experience on this?

Under-lighting is great, especially if yourn main lights don’t penetrate very far into the copy. It’s really tough to give cannabis too much light if you’ve got the rest of your environment dialed in. I’m a big fan of under canopy lighting. Make sure they’re water proof and easy to clean, especially if you do any kind of foliar sprays or feeds.

Many people use underlighting. Sidelighting can b useful as well.

I wonder why more people don’t use it. Even with LED is there that chance of light burn?

Light burn or light bleaching. Just watch them. Each plant is different. Most will love it

I’d only use any side/under lighting once I had my reg light dialled in. You’d be surprised at how many ppl have too little light for their space imho.

Cheers
