I know once they sprout they need a lot of light

I personally put the lights on 18/6 once I plant the germinated seeds onto the medium

Yeah even without pre germing them I run the lighting think the best way to go is to germinate them before planting in soil this way you know you have viable seeds within 18 to 24hrs
