How long will you be gone
We’ll be away three weeks, maybe a little less.
Three weeks is a while maybe you can put the plant pot in a bowl of some sort to keep some water in it… because I left for a week and my plants were a little mad at me when i got back (they wanted water desperately). So id probably overwater it a little bit
I’m getting an automatic watering system that I’ll have time to try out before we leave – it’s just the Blumat cork stakes which are cheap and well reviewed for this purpose. They won’t be without water. I think the challenge could be to be careful not to give it too much!

Yea makes sense
@alicek ain’t playin around! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us
I hope the lady is well though you may be on vacation now I can’t wait to see how she’s done!
I’ve been wondering the same thing
Certain phones require like a 22lb paper diffuser or somewheres in the 22lb range. Hellraiser did a comparison with some stuff on his thread with the paper diffuser and maybe still has info there on what he uses and how off it was from a good meter reading. They were close so it is doable but u may need a 22lb paper chunk to throw over the camera as a diffuser. I’ve never used a lighting app or meters just go by feel. Unless u r going for prize win ing weed. Not all these tools r necessary. Good light cannabis friendly nutes and medium and a good pH meter will get u nice bud. Light meter the old skool.way and use the back of the hand if the light is too warm on the hand it’s too warm on the pla t raise light or lower power. If u have the cash for all the meters ect than by all means get them but most likely u won’t use them often enough to sacrsacrifice having them. Hope u get this figured out.
Two days from home. Can’t wait to see how she’s done in my absence. We’ve cut our trip to just 18 days so I’m feeling comfortable with the amount of water I left and fingers crossed that the light just kept working. Will report in on Monday night. Yay!
Can’t wait to see this update!
@alicek thanks for keeping us posted
She looks very healthy though not so tall as I had thought she might be. I received her as a seedling, pictured below, on June 3, had a couple of weeks of inadequate light before getting my big LED array. She’s grown steadily, if slowly, since then. I have wanted to start her on flowering light when I got home and would love to hear from you all as to whether this is too soon to do that. Now we’ll find out if I know how to post pictures – can’t hold a thought at my age, so have to learn it anew every time.
Looking great!
Thanks. Do you have an idea as to whether or not she still too small to start flowering light (12/12)?
You can start flowering whenever. It’s ready
Excellent. Thanks.
In my experience it takes at least 50 days to have a mature enough plant to flower. Now if you flower a small plant your going to get a small harvest like a 1/4lb of finished flower. If its a photoperiod the more you can veg it and shape it to get all the tops into the shape you like then flower it you can get bigger yields. But it does take a little practice to get the most yields.
I’ve had this plant growing for 87 days. I don’t know the term “photoperiod” – please explain.
Just found an interesting article about photoperiods. No need to answer my question. Thanks for engaging.
