Marketing ideas for new members

Hola kats and kittens. I have been very busy with work and school. Not much growing on my end. I have noticed the users have greatly dropped off.

What are some ideas yall may have to generate more users?

Start getting some of the main sponsors to do some contests and giveaways regularly some of them are pretty big brand names seems if they sponsor they should be promoting their products and doing contests and giveaways just my thoughts :v:t2:

I think we all need to do some IG posts and link everyone here to GN!

that would definitely work but they may not be happy when they get here with all of the threads that have been shut down and not a whole lot that’s active you need to get the sponsors to post some giveaways for GN but advertise on IG so they will join GN for the giveaways and hopefully be hooked I mean grower’s house is huge why don’t they put up a few little items for contests I mean we could have bud of the month contest we could have Solo cup grow contests could even have show those funky gems and show some beautiful buds with some oddities growing again this is just my two cents but I believe in this society people love the chance to win things :thinking::wink:

What the hell is IG posts? Insta Gram? I’m trying to lessen my digital footprint not make it larger. To much hacking and fraud out there these days. I have someone trying to hack my Facebook account right now, I keep getting the warnings from Facebook, but I have two step authentication turned on so they have to get a code that only goes to my phone number. It is being tried at Fulton MO. Guess what is in Fulton? Fulton state prison.

Hi Gents

Had a quick connect with @Slym3r yesterday and this post could not have come at a better time. Sorry I have also been busy with “life” and trying to stay afloat in these murky waters. But not all doom and gloom, as I just got an email from HQ and we have a new member on board who is working in the cannabis industry in Colorado and will be helping us move forward in the very near future.

Everything discussed above is important, and has been noted, I am busy writing a proposal for what needs to be addressed:

e.g an updated members mail boost to invite old members back, a dedicated support email address and some improved features on the boards:

  1. increase the amount of images to upload from 5 to 15
  2. increase the size of images.

If you guys can think of anything further to the above please let me know. I spoke with Chris, our current lead moderator, and he’s excited to share in moderating along with you to boost the usability, promotion and profitability of the forum.

Chris is in South Africa, so there’s a large time difference, but he’s ready to give you a deep-dive into the forum so you can understand how it works…along with what needs to be fixed/improved moving forward.

After that initial call with Chris, we can start to build a strategy for the forum and begin to execute on it so we can create something truly special in the cannabis industry.

The threads that get archived are usually 1 to 3 years old with no one commenting on them. We do not archive current threads. This is part of moderating a site. The old things have to be moved out of the way or they will over lap all the new threads.

@jj520 are there particular threads you want to see?
Also all threads are all here you just have to use the search bar to find what your looking for. It has always worked that way. Nothing is deleted.

The internet is where the hacking comes from. I’ve never been hacked anywhere in the web. You should never put any information on these devices nor the net. All is hackable. Shoot most times your stuff just for sold by your provider.

After all this time I am tickled to see you are going to list a support email and hopefully that email will actually work. I have had issues before, such as not being able to log in, and absolutely no where to go to try and get it resolved. This went on for months, it’s a simple fact that nowadays folks don’t have a long attention span, with all that’s going on and especially the daily time spent on the internet from desktops to laptops to phones.

I have to be honest, when my log-ins quit working and after a few weeks of trying, I just quit trying to get on. And I also have to admit that I just didn’t come on for awhile because of being busy with other project and or health issues.

Please make sure you put the support email link on the NON logged in page so whey folks do have issues they can click the link for help without being logged on. I know this takes a lot of dedication from moderators, it’s a thankless job. So thanks for all who are moderators.

I just have been the last couple of days been putting out the forum link to some other places with growers asking questions, hopefully they will come over and sign up.

Thank you sir. We very much appreciate that. It is a very difficult position dealing with a site without tech support. The moderators have to take a lot of people yelling and cursing us for just up holding the moderating standards. It is a very hard job especially when all you want to do is grow, not getting reprimanded.
