I just unboxed my 2nd replacement ‘MedicGrow Spectrum X’ and it isn’t even a MedicGrow light! It says Tengri Lights across the top.
I looked it up and they are 350 brand new and this one is USED. You can see flecks of fertilizer residue all over it.
I paid 750 for each Spectrum X and this is not at all what I paid for. I don’t know what to do because they aren’t cooperating with me in getting a refund.
I am going to file a complaint via the Better Business Bureau.

I would get them on the phone not just some crony but insist on speaking to a manager or somebody in charge tell them all what happened tell them how this light came and it’s not even branded the same and you’re going to slam them on every social media outlet is being a fake company selling fake equipment or generic equipment just rebranded with their name on it and jump down their throats when you’re on the phone do not take no for an answer you’ve got to keep pounding them and when they bring something up tell them about part of your bad experience about how the lights are just knock offs you just have to refuse to accept their bull shit and start making some posts on Instagram you don’t have to use your own name make a fake account just start hammering them everywhere keep calling them daily keep emailing daily when you make your fake account just tell them you know who it is they’ll know file a complaint with the better Business bureau file a complaint with your state attorney file a complaint with the state attorney from the state the company is in then eventually the state’s attorney will contact them about the issue you’re a legal State f*** them that would be my course of action
You could do their company some real damage on IG by just reposting the same s*** about how you were screwed ,damaged lights pictures of knock-off lights with some of your thoughts and just continuously post it
I already started posting pictures and comments on their Facebook page.
I have officially submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
If they won’t cooperate after that I am definitely using the courts against them. I’ve never run into a business this crooked.
Submitting your complaints to the state’s attorney goes a long way the state’s attorney will get in contact with the company to see what the issue is it may take a little bit for them to contact but they will then the company knows the government is looking into them and they will cooperate easier
Ok, I just submitted a consumer complaint form to the Minnesota State Attorney’s office. I hope one or the other can help get my money refunded.
Now I don’t know if I should be using them since I might be getting a refund.
I dropped 4 seeds yesterday but I can only handle 2 with my Sonofarm 400 watt.

Wow !! @scryptic did you order right from there website or you go third party? I have 4 medic grow lights and have no isssues. I have a spectrum x , a fold 8 and 2 - mini sun 240 watt and love everyone of them. That’s definitely a bummer. I’ve had no issue off their site.
Yes I ordered directly from MedicGrow and have nothing but problems. I can’t believe they sent me a different company’s light.
@bigj. Have u had any issues with the lights them selves. Scryptic had 2 of the spectrun x and after a month or 2 of running they died one at a time as he ordered them one at a time. But to work a mo th or so and die and them send a replacement and not a bew replacement a banged up dented piece of junk it qorks but still used light for the price of a brand new setup is. Bullshit. Then her got that replacement digs the lights ordered a other o e worked about a month and same thing died out so they sent him this replacement not even the same brand of light he bought as new. MeDICGROW lights r ytash and their customer service sucks ass if u dont wanna lose mo ey or get scammed get lights else where. Big j must jave got all his shit before they figured they could scam ppl and get away with it for a little while. Lol. The lights r nice and grow a nuce product but customer aervice and how they handle atiff would keep me away from them and keep my friends away now. HlG for the win here. They jave awesome customer service and awesome lights. Still sorry this happened @scryptic. Gotta suxk ass bro. Pkg is all made up and gonna tey and get it in mail in a short bit qhen they open. Yes, I just had an offer of $360 refund and I can keep the light with continued 5 year warranty. I still don’t know how I got a Tengri Light instead of a MedicGrow light but it’s virtually identical to the Spectrum X.
MedicGrow told me they are the same light. If that’s true then everyone buying Spectrum X lights is being ripped off for $400. They could buy new Tengri Lights for $350 on Facebook.
I agreed to the refund because that enables me to buy an HLG 600 R-Spec on fb marketplace offered for $375. It’s brand new from someone who ordered too many. They must be a big grower because they are giving deals for multiple Rspecs.
This way I have a backup HLG and Sonofarm in case I have future issues with my Spectrum X.
@Mark0427 my spectrum x i bought October of 23 The fold 8 i bought in December of 23 and the 2 mini suns I bought May of 24 . I personally have not had any issues. I Agree that it does suck and if that’s how the customer service is , I’m not looking forward to any issues and have to deal with poor customer service, @scryptic , I was just curious on where you ordered from because I know there are some scam sites … im not claiming anything with these lights other than my experience with them , a buddy from another site recommended the spectrum x . So far Having good luck with it was the reason for the most recent purchase of the mini suns. hope that you have some better luck with the hlg lights , I’m sorry you have had such a poor experience my friend and has me re thinking future purchases

All of this has been from dealing directly with MedicGrow which is why I have been so upset and disturbed by their unethical practices.
That bums me out you had a bad experience my friend, functioning… these lights are quite nice and plants do phenomenal , I only chose them on a recommendation from a buddy who had been running one for 2 yrs no issue and I liked the price. Sounds like they are getting too big and started using cheap junk boards to pump out the lights , I have not heard any complaints on HLG other than the price lol. You should do well with it
I will agree price on hlg is a hard hitter but the lights do super qell and make a beautiful plant and product but ive also seen guys have awesome pla ts on vheaper lifhts also. In ways light is a huve huge part of this but i believe watering and trimming makes for a hige help also if done correct and at giod times im sure anyone could grow good weed. Gotta buy an expensi e ass light and pay expensive ass prices to run the lights now. Lol. Gonna leave shitry reviews on their page on ig for ya some more @scryptic. Gonna tag u also so other can ask about ur bad experiences with the light and the customer services they provide.

MedicGrow just issued a refund via PayPal and my PayPal account is now permanently blocked!
They said it’s because of some violation of usage but I think it’s because of a shady company sending me money.
So I still have no refund and now I’ve lost my PayPal account. 
WTF. No way. That’s total bull.
This is how all retail works. There is a discounted off brand version of name brand things. Its all about consumer research.
I know who runs/ owns tengri lights. I knew a sales representative of their company. It was not respectable. Id get what you can and not use them again.
