I haven’t used the Azamax before myself but I’ve heard from @LoCoRocK that’s the only thing he uses and has had super great results! I got a product called Azera the only difference is instead of straight Azadirachtin being the active ingredient it also contains pyrethrins.
Honestly since I used the botanigard I haven’t had a pest problem since! I like that it’s a dry powder that mixes well into water. So you don’t have to pay near as much since you don’t have water in the concentrate and end up paying less with shipping and lower cost overall for the product. Also agree with lady bugs and this year I don’t think we would have gotten this far into flower without them! Literally just got 3,000 lady bugs in last night and release them as soon as I got them! Since we released the last batch about a month ago at his garden spot we haven’t seen aphids on any of the plants since then! Crazy how well beneficial insects really work!
The old asking for a friend problem huh…lol I’m joshing but listen to whatever the Flash says. I just get lucky he knows what he’s doing. Prey is 100% right though, they haven’t been eradicated just missing larval stage or eggs thus the re-emergence.
It’s true I’ve had some luck with Azamax but I’ve also used napalm, land mines and wmd’s. It’s hit or miss and … Oh here’s a good one. It only works if you work it… remember that one. LoL sometimes I miss the coffee and white chips. LoL
I don’t want to muck up someone else’s thread but I go to the neurologist Tuesday. I’ve been headache free since Wednesday night. It’s been awesome mate. I’m so happy to be alive again. Thank you so much for asking legend. Means a lot from you Flash… sincerely. I’m holding back tears you old dog you. LoL back to my thread now… apologies vajyx. Holy not cool of me… Where are my manners? Big welcome
btw Vaj. Don’t think we spoke before but good luck with the aphids man. Tell your buddy to keep his witts about him and good luck because bugs can kill a joyous grow quick like. Gotta keep the chin up and know.tjat this too shall pass…
Sweet this is great info, eventually he will be on to see it, it’s helped me out to i had mites in my last harvest and azamax worked, I just don’t want the bastards back lol, I did clean the tent with bleach before this new grow I started, and so far I havnt seen any, I also have pest control fog the yards, told him to treat my yard like he was fogging award winning roses lol basically my yard gets treated with rosemary every month
Oh and would steam cleaning carpets will also help with extermination with the rest of the house, i figured steam at 180 degrees and higher kills alot of bugs including bed bugs and what’s not
Carpet in general absolutely sucks to have around a grow room. And I mean around…like anywhere in the vicinity, the room next to it, rolled up in the corner or a welcome mat. Of course sometimes you can’t avoid it but it holds all the nasties. We had a cat one time asking about why the hell he cannot get rid of mold spores, a smell or something and my smartass self said “well as long as you keep the carpet dry you should be good” … lol not thinking he actually had carpet in the room . But he answered back - well it does get wet once in a while with runoff… LoL my jaw hit the floor. I felt
so terrible…
But back to your question… I would do everything possible to decontaminate/cleanup and disinfect any areas you think might have had small beasties within.
I got just the person… @pptrsha1 you know all about steaming, bedbugs and cleaning up after lil pests. Do you utilize a steam cleaner or have any recommendations??
Haha, I don’t have to worry about run off I bottom feed and dump the water after and hour or so then every other water I use a mist sprayed and water from the top, I dont like to disturb the soil, and as for the room it’s new carpet and so far havnt had any issue with any Pests, and keep a good dehumidifier in the room and with the tents inline fan it works out for the tent as long as it’s not over loaded
Okay time to be 100% serious… You have absolutely got to cover up or lay down a seriously plastic barrier. There will be micro splashes, there will be bugs of any sort, dust/dander, pollen and spores SO easily hidden and not known. Donald Rumsfeld said it best there are too many known knowns, unknown knowns & unknown unknowns to consider. LoL
I tried being serious it just isn’t easy for me. I hope I’m just talking nonsense and your kinda exaggerating about the carpet but it’s absolutely a fine line your walking with carpet even near the room.
Your being totally serious your plants are sitting on carpet man? I just enjoy the hell out of this flower and the company of all the great growers in here. I never claim to be anyone to listen too but I do know that you have to get some kind of plastic underneath them or your gonna have some issues coming. Even if you already have them on some mats get something under them that hides as much of that nice new carpet as you can.
Gosh dang I’m fucking stoned. I’ve read this 20 X’s and can’t figure out what the other way around is… LMAO what is this math class. I don’t want a word problem in my condition… LoL so hard
man this looks like borrowing trouble to me. the pvc is going to trap any moisture that escapes your best efforts. even commercial cleaners leave moisture behind. dehumidifier will remove moisture from the air but not all of it. i hate carpet. i hate buggies. how do you get water to your tent? is this a long term venture or a just right now? i would rather grow in a bathtub than bring down all the possibilities of what a carpeted room can bring up. this is just my experience
I moved here in March and already planned on moving, it inconvenient for me lol my neighbor moved out afte right moved in and a cop moved in after, so yeah its temporary, I got 6 plants and I fill up a 5 gallon bucket and carry it to the room then I stole a 1 gallon pitcher and then use that to transfer, and I bottom feed I fill the trays then and what’s not taken in I have another bucket I use an hour later for dumping excess water into so they arnt sitting, and every other water ill spray from the top with a pump sprayer as to not pack soil or coco more than it has to be and still allow minerals and salts to rinse out, im still learning as I go lol I just know I gotta move away from the cop lol
So your married and the wife caught you taking one of her pitchers…lmao
Dude we’d get along great
I never understood why my wife gets mad when I just use it to water plants. she says - no keep it now, I’ll buy a new one. …lol I’ve got about 5 pitchers in my room. LoL
