Looks to me like u know what ur doing my friend great first go with the new nute mix
Thanks! Hoping to harvest a pound and a half from this space with this much light. I might need to invest in some more LEDS so I can get the intensity I want over my 5x5.
Hey @devjyarn I have read and had issues with bamboo creating fungal issues in the past j used them for a CPL yrs w no issues then bam everyone I used them on got mold in the soil . Must be a regional issue or something just a thought
Nope, I noticed a bit of mould growing on mine, too!
I have seen this on my popsicle sticks. Also i try and not water the wood. But since then i have gone to plastic tags just for this reason.
I tag my buckets with the info tags.
I find it much easier then to tag the plant.
In the case of the mould issue, I would say this is also then cleaner.
I like to use sharpie to wright onto cups then tag when they hit the pots.
@PreyBird1 and @docdre As soon as the plants are big enough to go into their own rockwool cube they get individually labelled. I’ll definitely be staying away from the bamboo in the future!
Girls are just about finished their second week of flower. A few comparison shots from beginning of flower and last week of veg.
It’s a happy little jungle in there! Will be doing another defoliation once stretch is done. Few more days.
I had one branch of one plant that was showing me a calcium deficiency, but I got that handled. The roots are hungry and trying to explore the table.
Looking Good @devjyarn
Love the wild exploring roots.
What are you planning to use from now on too tag your plants?
Happy Growing
I’ve got a labeler that I use. Name and other info gets printed then put around the base of the plant and left there till harvest.
Plants look amazing ,u got that table hopping lol. Have u ever tried spray and grow ? It’s great stuff i have found it can help to add zinc (most programs do not have enough if any) u may already be good there.i find it helps green up stalks as well .and leaves too takes a bit to work tho .
Thanks @hoppiefrog ! I sprayed once or twice a week with my foliar of kelp, fulvic, and aminos up until mid second week of flower. No more sprays from here till harvest. We hope, haha!
Np & ya it’s only useful up to the second week of flower I use it a CPL times in veg only;)
Hi. Lovely haul of veggies.
I tried growing a potato plant, first one died with nothing to show. Second grew much more vigorously but now looks sick.
I might try the two bucket method next time.
Did another big defoliation yesterday and decided to throw some under-canopy lighting in the tent. I’d prefer to have the lights on the outside edges of the canopy, but I am leaving town for a few days and wanted to get this started. PPFD is about 200 at the bottom of the canopy.
These girls were kept as bonsai moms and are pretty branchy and gnarly.
Looking great @devjyarn!! I like your defoliation technique. I just did this myself a couple days ago and thought maybe I got a little carried away. I feel better now seeing your plants. I’ll be more curious about your CBDurban plant as it continues. I’m getting ready to order that strain from True North. Did you get the strain from Canuk or Nirvana? The strain from Nirvana is the Supreme CBDurban. I’m not sure which one to get. Thanks for all the info on the strain!
@Tygrow78 I did one defoliation right as I flipped into flower, and another after a 2 week stretch.
On the first defoliation I removed everything below the top 6 to 8 bud sites. Fan leaves, bud sites and side branches. Ideally the plants would be topped so they have your desired number of main branches, usually 8 to 16. I will keep a few fan leaves on the very bottom of plant that will help me diagnose plant problems and deficiencies quicker.
On the second defoliation, once stretch is done, I will keep the 4 newest developed fan leaves and I cut all fan leaves from the main branches below that. The fan leaves on secondary branching will stay for now. The fan leaves at the very bottom, serving as indicators, will stay as well.
To grow. Potatoe plant.
Place seed potatoe in valley of dirtcover with .5" of soil. And as the plants grow ad more soil up to the leaves and every week add more dirt. Potatoes grow from tubers. Like roots but they go sideways. Loose soil also. Potaties will even grow in sawdust.
