A friend of mine’s wife has a trough system that she grows veggies in in an old tool shed. She always busy doing harvest year round.
Yes it does and it works great!
Ok that’s pretty cool. Would explain why when water level is low it’s temperamental lol. I love this trough. I’ve grown bigger plants in this than anything else. 3” net pot and 6 foot or better plants , I have to literally tie down the troughs to keep them from falling over , the support legs get screwed down to a board and it is weighted down to keep from tipping. Lol
Heavy defoliation today to open it up a little for the flower stage. I plan on flipping to flower tomorrow after the dark period starts.
Took about a quarter trash bag of leaves off!
Should the water pump/sprinkler stay on 24/7, or does it need to be on a timer? If a timer, how often should it cone on and how long should it run?
I would run it 24/7 until roots are showing, then switch to 15 on 15 off. The pump is going to heat your water and cause ph drift. If you can, run an air stone in it. Once the roots are in the water I would take the pump out and just use the air stone in it and make it a Deep Water Culture. Use a big air stone, the bigger the air stone the smaller the air bubbles will be. Here is a picture of the air stones I use, the ones sold at Wally World suck!
DWC!!! Represent…
Yes its going to stretch massively. Good job so far @nacho151
Nice full healthy plant @nacho151!
This has been an interesting grow so far! I am liking this setup a lot. This EVO 6 light is the best light I have used for growing, I’m saving up to get another one for my other tent.
You can’t go wrong with ac infinity lights!
That’s a healthy looking green plant you have there my friend, nice job
Whats your wattage?
The driver says 500 watts, but it’s pulling around 4 amps from the wall at level 10.
A little less than what it said? Not much though? If im right. I cant remember the math lol
The math is watts/voltage=amps so my math said 4 amps that is really close to 500 watts, it came out to 499 watts. I did notice that the branches I tied down, the tips are already turning up towards the overhead light after 24 hours.
