You probably did it right too! Videos are finicky things to link to in these forums. It’s inherent to the platform they use for the forum, I guess…
Pics from this morning some of them appear to have stopped stretching yayyy!! (Small win) but others still stretching there’s more leaf development going on one appears to have one tiny node So I’m excited here… I have a video so but I decide not to post to many videos of the seedlings because I don’t think it’s necessary but I am keeping for later use which should be cool any still only given them PhD distilled water When the cubes dry back the heating pad is working pretty good so far. the ec reads low 20s . What are you guys thoughts on water temp? Too warm or too cold is bad so what’s good range to stay in?
What’s up back with another update
Day 12 from seed in rockwool
Currently only giving Distilled water
Cubes starting to dry quicker I’m hoping it’s due to root growth but non the less I’m going to be starting a nutrient regimen on Sunday really I’ll probably just be some rapid start w/ A very dosage … but for now still rocking steady
Not my best pics was kinda in a rush this morning
What’s up guys tried to give it a few days before I posted again… let’s just say it was all good a few days ago … long story short Saturday & Sunday I missed my watering by a few hours… and it got my seedlings hard… I started my nutrient regimen yesterday in hopes of bringing the crop back… I’m using general hydroponics again, tho in the future maybe my next run I’ll be trying out Athena.Ag nutes… but for now I started them out on a gallon of 6.0-6.5 ph water
Amour. si-2.5ml
Cal mag -1ml
Flora Duo A - 2.5ml
Flora Blend - 5ml
Rapid Start - 1ml
Ppm right at 420s
Water temp was 73 degrees f
They got this nite mix last abt 2 hrs before lights off and when I can back this morning my tray was dry and cubes look about 60% wet so I doused them again same feed… all but two of them had burned tips on the bigger set of leafs it like I say hopefully it was just signs of not getting nutes and not some other problem will investigate more today tho…
Praying to god it’s not a root zone/rot issue so early on…
Well here are my pics check then out and let me know what you guys think it could be… I thought the light might’ve been the culprit being too close but some of them stretched a bit more so idk there
Back again w/ another am update
It’s day 16 week 3 day 2
As mention before I made the mistake, not keeping up with my waterings. Here is a look at the recovery taking place… nutrient regimen seems to be in order for now (small win) yayyy!! But got some close ups… basically right now I’m looking for some healthy males to collect pollen… from and some healthy females to clone and eventually You know
but for now going to try and keep things rockin steady… temps around low 70s RH Low 50s I mistakenly left my heating pad off last night so the cubes are still wet so no feeding this morning perhaps later on in the day… also I’ll take some root shots I think I’ll be getting ready to transplant this soon in to bigger cubes for veggies hopefully within the next 2-4 weeks I’ll have my first set of clones…
As always happy growings:muscle:t5:
Hey if any you guys have runs going which I’m sure you do. I’d love to check them out… drop some pics here.
Ask and you shall receive.
Good morning @budtender803.
Here’s a few that I’ve got growing.
I can tag you over to my journal if you like.
Yeah man definitely this on point what size pots are those? Looks beautiful How old are they? @oldguy
@budtender803.
Pots are 10 gal with 1 -15 gal pot.
Seeded ones are just 7 weeks from germ.
The 2 clones are a couple weeks older.
Purple trainwreck and Las Vegas purple kush.
These are really nice look really healthy…I’ve never had those strains before but sound very intriguing…
Once again, Back again I’m hot boxing right now lmao this bug got trapped in here with me either he’s high af or dying:woozy_face: i feel bad but I’m blitzed right now so I’m lmao
…
but none the less morning update time…
Temps low 70s with my heating mat under the tray…
Over night a great dry back so I gave them a feed today same as the previous…
Seems that recovery is going good definitely greening back up. I trimmed the dead tops off and I’m starting to see at the least 1 node on majority of them… so I think we going good… going to try and get my grow room a tad warmer but my rm humidity is around 50% still for the time being… umm yeah that’s about it I’m going to be transplanting the cubes maybe next week so after today I’ll prop the cubes up starting to get roots poking from the bottoms of the cubes not sure if I should let them stay in the water on the heating mat… but tell I’ll be outing them into bigger cubes for vegging then the cloning will begin soon after well here’s my pics as always chime in guys, & happy growings. Oh also if you have done so subscribe to my new YouTube channel 420MeSocial and be on the look out for new content…
Back again w/ another am update
Everything looking decent at this point over night the extra water I had in tray dried up but the cubes were still decently moist so u just put some more water in the bottom of the tray using a flood technique I saw online…it pretty much hoping to allow the top side of the cube to dry back good… other than that things looking pretty good here check out some pics and share yours
I’m going to take a wild guess and say the taller plants here are males which it’s fine cause I will be collecting pollen from the males so no sweat still a lot of other hope there
Good job at your success with the rockwool cubes @budtender803. I’ve never had good luck with them so I use root riot plugs to start with, then move them into 3"×3"×2.5"rockwool cubes.
Aww mane loving what I see there… yeah it’s my first Tim’s starting directly in the rockwool cube…had 19 out of 21 pop so that’s good… im liking your area is I could definitely do some cleaning up myself ha
Do you have any trouble any trouble getting the roots to grow into the rockwool our of the plugs?
Just my own personal opinion, but I think you should go 100% plain water for the moment. Keep the domes and let the water fill the grooves in the bottom or your trays so when roots do emerge from bottom of cubes they have somewhere safe to go.
I haven’t had any problems with the plugs, the roots have loved them so far @budtender803. I just popped 3 new seeds a couple nights ago and put them in plugs last night. I’m going to start journaling them next week. I love rockwool tho! It’s an amazing medium.
I will be tuning in to watch that progress I think ima going to give the plugs a try soon
I’ll link ya in my next posts.
