I was going to use my new, homemade sifting screen to try to sift some harvested flower that has been jarred for numerous months. Apparently, the 62% humidity pack I placed in each jar has worked, so the flower isn’t dry enough to crush and go through the 80 mesh screen.

I’m assuming I need to remove the lids from the jars so it can dry out. How long should I leave the jars open and how dry should it be?

Just dump the buds on top of the screen and move them around a bunch, the trichomes will make their way through the screen.

I tried it with a few pieces, but I had to press down fairly hard because it wasn’t breaking up. I didn’t want to push any harder.

It should be ok to leave the lids off the jars for 5-6 days to dry put more, right? I don’t want it to get tumbleweed dry, though.
