Online Grow Class

After a few failed attempts, I have been searching online cannabis classes. Before I purchase for $750 I wanted you guys opinions! Have anyone completed an online course? I have been questioning myself is it the seeds in buying that’s the problem as well but unsure. Maybe the fox farms soil and nutes I’m just not sure anymore.

First off, tell us all about your grow setup and any pictures you took while you were growing.

Tell us soil, nutes, brand of light, inside outside everything. Cannabis is a weed, but our super hybridized strains can be a pain sometimes.

The most common problems is light, nutes, and of course the strain. If the genetics are no good, it’s a fail from the start. Get with @PreyBird1 and get you some guaranteed good seed to start with. Give us all your parameters, and we will help from there, you don’t need to spend money to learn to grow. Or take the free course that got posted.

I was growing in my closet, I don’t know the size lol. I was using FoxFarm soil and the trio nutrients they have. I kept running into the problem 2/3 week into flowering, some buds at the tops were turning white I think the light was to close so I moved it and the problems continued. I would like to do a tent setup, but just really want to make sure I accomplish something before keep investing my time and money! What setup do you have? I’m thinking of using my complete closet or 2door garage for the area. I’m in SA Texas so outdoor grow I would feel comfortable doing.

If you can grow outside that is always preferred. You just can’t beat mother nature. There is not a light in the world that can compete with the sun.

However, Texas is still very strict, so you might want to take that into consideration.

A tent in the garage would probably be best IF you can control the temps. A simple safe setup is to use either Promix or just plain coco coir with pearlite at about 30% pearlite.

Then a good brand of nutrients. Crop salt, Jacks, or Dakine. I don’t do bottles anymore at all. All three listed are mix with water by weight, PH and feed. Jacks and Crop salt are the simplest. Dakine has a lot of different products.

You definitely can burn the plants if you have a high output light and get them too close. It’s a balancing act, more light = more nutrients, and more water the plant will use. For the safest as far as not overwatering go with coco coir. Next is Promix. I have never used anything else except Build a soil #3. And this is the first grow I have used it. Unless you use a big pot you can’t get a whole grow’s worth of nutrients in the soil. You can only add so much and then you burn them up.

Current grow.

There is a lot to it.

I would start with some quality seed…ie…PreyBird for example. I would then, stop using fox farm soils. There are a great many choices, or make your own. There are many soil posts on here. I know I have posted a recipe and Marty posted his thoughts etc and his own recipe of stuff to add.
A good light is always needed. Sounds like 2-4 plants to start for you would suffice, so a smaller cheaper light would work …a tent, a closet or some sort of enclosure to keep it private. You need a fan to exhaust air and either a fan to pump it in or a passive intake…possibly a filter for privacy again. You will need fans to blow across the plants for air circulation like wind…
Stay away from the fox farms trio…if you are looking to use a simple method like that of just mixing chems in a gallon of water and pouring them…much better and easier choices…ie Lucas Formula…mega crop…etc.
Then you need to check out your water source…ph…chlorine… is it hard or soft, before or after the conditioner.
Last…electrical load. How is your electricity you are going to use in this grow area supplied?
It is best to run new circuits or a sub panel if a larger op.
There ya go…FOOD for THOUGHT
Have a good one…ask away.:+1:t2:

Your plants are beautiful :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: The garage gets extremely hot due to the high temps here. I thought with the tent I would have control of the temps? Im going with the vivosun tent kit but I’m going to buy a different light or do you think the light it comes with good enough?

Only if you have an AC for the tent. If it’s hot as hades in the garage, with the light it will be even hotter in the tent.

There are tons of good lights, don’t know what you have, and have never seen anyone using a Vivosun light on here. I have a LUXX 860 watt. Great light, but they don’t make them anymore, got bought out by Miracle grow around 4-5 years ago.

Also get a 5x5 min tent. You won’t regret the little bit extra.

I have never used it, but it has all great LED’s in it, so I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be a great light. I reviewed it on my grow thread. Home depot has it, it is 1000 watts, with UV far RED. 5000k and 4000k Samsung chips. Three different controls for varying the amount of all three spectrums from zero to 100% All for $349 IF you use a NEW HD credit card. A little more if you don’t and free shipping. My grow thread title is 2024-2025 Indoor/Outdoor grow A little farther along now. My review of the light is about a month back in the thread.
