I do not have any bio film. I have extremely hard water here and only use R/o water. And i only use dakine420 in the resivior lines and valves. I do not put anything organic into the resivoir or throught the system. I turn off the water flow an let the water levels go down in the autopot trays. Then i add organics directly into the tray before the valve you know the little drop down area that goes under the plants pot. Then i turn on the water valve back on and let it fill up. I want to add directly to the resivior but i know it will gum up everything. I just reset 7 auto pots and im about to set up 4 more.
Um i do not use a pump to mix it up. I want to but im not a fan of using more electricity pumps and crap. Thats the whole reason i went this route. Then i see these air domes and air trays for Fân autopots. I use none of those items. I have an dont use them. I also do not use the gravel in the bottom. I literally take 5 big handfuls of promix-hp one in each corner to hold the root barrier in place one scoop in the middle and level out lightly pack it down. Then i use my fist and body weight to mash the whole root ball down so it as flush as i can get it at the top of the pot. Then i back and pack down pretty firmly. I take a spray bottle and mist the tops of the pots to make the soil kind of set. Then i add 6 gallons to the resivior and turn it on. I used to top water it but i found it makes zero difference what i do thwy grow the same. And ive already grow out 12 plants in these auto pots. Doing it the same way each time.
Ok well it seems what I encountered is the same as everyone else. I did get and use the air domes, but this is my first grow with them so I donât have anything to compare to. Better or not better. I did do the pot different, I am using as per their suggestion 50/50 coco pearlite. One thing I did that they had nothing to say about one way or the other is the air dome is quite big in the gaps on it. What I mean is shit will fall through the slots in it. You put in the air plate which has tubes that go down to the water about a half inch in diameter that you are supposed to pack with your medium. Which I did, but then you have the half round dome that sticks up out of that and contains the 4 cross tubes with slots that allows the air to come out like an air stone but instead they are tubes with slots.
I saw that the slots in the dome itself would just allow the medium to pour through into the bottom of the pot and fill in the slot youâre talking about where you pour in the organic stuff, so I used a layer of coco chips over the dome then the 50/50 mix on top of that to keep the air dome area free of coco. I am sure when I pull them the entire bottom of the pot is going to be choked in roots all around the air tubes and that empty space. I really wanted to use the OA nutes, but they just wouldnât stay in solution. So went back to the Crop Salts which is a lot like Jacks or Dakine, just a lot simpler. Veg A-B and Flower A-B thatâs it. They have zero add ins. Crop salts did reccommend using a submersible pump on 15 and off 2 hours on a cycle. I already had a little one 100 gal hr. Just put that in the tank today. After I got all the scum off the copper mats and the reservoir tray they perked up. Crop salts also has a product called Run Clean, which I also added it is frugal 1/2 ml per gal. They were looking pretty poorly prior to that.
Ok guys i did something stupid. I put too much water into my mini hymidity domes bottom trays and almost drowned my baby plants. I was trying to keep the roots that were growing out the bottom of the cups from drying out.
All the baby mother plants have rooted. This is my entire living strain collection of favorite strains that i have growing at the moment. I add or take away from this group of plants depending on how i like the smoke. The big buddah cheese turned out to be really good. So i kept it in the group. And the Nyc strain is really good. I have 2 more test strains were running also. So they might get added to the line up. Im really excited to see what the pirates Booty x Runtz cross i made is going to be like.

These are badass! I squirreled away quite a few of these. 41 watts! With UV. These are all i use. I get 1-2 of them going. Nice low watts almost no heat! I can get the light super low! Check it out.
Ahh yeah i got enough of these to last me years and years. I have run 4x of them at once but thats a waste. And some light fixtures cant handle them. I bought a nice fixture from growers house and 4 of these t5 bulbs. And that was before they knew this. And that light and the leds shorted out and i was standing there with my hand like 1" away and the son of bitch shocked the shit out of my hand and burned me!! Like im not even joking around. I had to call growers house and they knew about it but it wasnât in the details of the light fixture specs. But GH fixed that immediately and compensated my light and bulbs. As far as the light shocking my hand and burning itâŚwhatever! it was an experience right hahah.
Ok here are 4 sprouts of my Purple Rain. Itâs a cross of candy Rain x Lavender. Candy Rain = london poundcake x Gelato. And since candy rain is made by cookies fam genetics i can almost 100% guarantee that Gelato they used in the cross is there famous F33 cut. The same cut they used to make Runtz with back in 2018! Lavender is from soma sacred seeds. I preserved the strain for a fellow grower that used to come here. He spent some time looking for this strain in Regs before soma stopped selling reg and switched to feminized seed for sale. He sent them to me and i made a lot of seeds like 5000 and sent them to him. I was allowed to have some of the seeds. But i also had the plants and per out agreement. Since i made the seeds the plants are mine as well as some of the seeds. I used to make strains and or preserve seeds for customers. If you want the seeds preserved theres a 1k fee. If you want a preserved exclusive strainâŚmeaning i keep nothing and every seed is the customers. And i photo document everything for proof exclusivity. Thats 2.5k but generally i can produce 3-5k seeds in a 1/4lb of flower. So theres a big seed return.
And i got another autopot system set up for the breeding/reversing of the pirates booty. I have 2 juvenile plants and more babies so we have plenty of this strain to work with now. I already made the pirates booty Runtz cross and im growing it right now. Were going to have lots of new strain tests going this year.
