Problem with the timer clock

Hey, I just started growing but I found a flaw with my setup.
I’m using a growlamp with buttons you can press. One press it turns on, press again it turns off. Now i put a timer clock infront of it to get the cycle right. It turns the lamp off to the right time, but when it turns it on again the lamp gets power, but doesn’t turn on, because you have to press the button again.
Is there a work around to this problem?

@psych0 , Maybe an electrician can help bypass ( not always a good idea ). But like @PreyBird1 says. Pity.

What kind of light is it?

Nope not an automatic restarting light. Some a/c units do that and wont turn on and cool the grow properly. Your gonna have to be the timer man! Or get a new better light?

I have a light like this too. Sucks and you can be sure you will not be able to do 12/12 exactly everyday. Best cut that switch out and resolve wires so it’s always on. Then add your timer. It will work.

If you have a picture of the on/off switch maybe I can walk you through bypassing it. You will need an orange wire nut, wire stripper and tools to open up light.
