Purple stems?

Both of these are Acapulco Gold photo/fem being grown in soil, in the same tent, and receiving the same nutrients. They germinated at the same time.
Why are the stems on plant #1 purple and green on plant #2? Is this something to be concerned about?
Both plants appear healthy.

It’s called phenotype, slightly different genes in the different seeds. One of the traits that make breeders cuts, there are purple and green versions of lots of different strains.

Yes there sibling plants from parent plants. One could be a redhead one could be a brunette also as the plant ripens the stems should also turn purple or a darker red.

It’s also interesting how differently the bud clumps are forming on each plant. The ones on the purple stem plant are smaller and the stems are stretching much more than the green stem plant.

See now your seeing the atructure and or morphology of that particular strain. They both should be somewhat similair in structure. Sometime when im breeding certs9n strains i try and cross an great strain with one that has more buds to node ratio to create a better strain.

Off topic, but does this forum sometimes remove the “new Topic” feature? I wanted to post a new topic this morning, and neither the Android app version of this site, nor the web version (which I’m using now) has the Add New Topic button. Unless I’m losing my mind, there is no way right now to begin a new topic, and there are no notices that site maintenance is taking place.
