hi guys im new here
i have a question about a super soil mix i dont have a lot of money for ingredients for the soil and i want to do it with all natural products.
so here is what i bought so far
coco coir
compost
worm castings
bone meal
per lite
is there anything else i should buy and how much should i use of each my grow tend holds about 6 pots.
That’s a tough one. It depends entirely on the makeup and composition of the compost in your case. It sure wouldn’t hurt to add in a little Azomite for a well rounded mineral supplement. There are LOTS of recipes on the net, they usually use a broader range of additives. Worm castings are great, but very low in nutrients, lots of enzymes and other non fertilizer ingredients that make for healthy plants.

I thought worm castings were very high in nitrogen? I am planning on using alot of worm tea this season, especially for all the other added benefits.
Nope very low in all three major macro nutrients. I use Worm castings as well, but only during the seed germination phase. Here is the front of the worm casting bag…That’s why they are good for seedlings, worm castings won’t burn the babies. But like I said it is basically worm compost, and has a lot of goodies other than nutrients…microbes etc.
