RDWC leaves are drooping

I run an RDWC sealed room. My EC is 1.2, Rh 60/65, temperature runs between 77 to 80. Co2 is 1100. Water temperature is 66 to 68. They are in the first week of veg . My leaves are drooping really bad for about a week now. I run floraflex and Hydroguard. They keep growing. Vigorously. Just can’t get them to stand up.

Welcome to the forum! I would reduce the EC down to 1, the PPM’s should be around 500/600 for the first couple of weeks of veg in a hydro setup. I would also check the pH.

My pH is 5.8 staying steady as well. I’ve never had bad fluctuation.

That’s a good pH reading. I just had the same drooping leaves problem in my hydro grow and it was because of an overdose of nutrients. Other than the drooping leaves your plants and roots look good!

How much space between bottom of net pots and water is there? Also do you have airstones going to the system or the roots? They need added oxygen also 5.8 ph is nice id float anywhere from 5.8-6.2 max is 6.5 but its good to be in a nice buffer zone. I agree with @nacho151 with the ppm i usually stayed under 1k till late veg bloom. Thats always different per person and plants but general scale. Looking forward to seeing your run!

It was definitely I think a nitrogen deficiency. You are absolutely correct. My plans perked right back up. I put a gallon of RO water Ph to 5.8. dropped it to 1.1 gave it like 4 hours and checked on them and they were all standing up. Praying to the light God. I’m doing a reservoir change tomorrow so I will put it at an EC of 1.0. Thank you for all your help. Have you ever seen these diffusers before. They are what I use instead of air stones. It’s amazing the bubbles you get and not huge ones. They’re like a ton of small ones which I read is way better anyway. They were very easy to make.

Thank you, I appreciate it all your help. I will post my grow as I go. Yes it was the problem. It was good to get confirmation from two people on it. Thanks again for your help.

I’m glad your plants perked up! I have only used large air stones, my hydro setup is basically a Hydrobucket with a air pressure driven suction tube on the net pot that lifts the water from the bottom and drips onto the hydroton back into the bucket. Not a big system however I did get a pound off my plant last week with it so I’m happy.

Ive always used airstones with a pump. I would take those nuts out and use something that wont corrode or rust. Whatever works for me may not work for you or someone else whats fun about growing. We all grow differently

The bolts are stainless steel. They’ll never rust. Theater just kind of cool cuz it diverts the water all the way around the bucket and then in the center of the bucket. We’re growing in different ways is what’s cool. What works for someone else may work for you and then again it may not. It’s the best part about conversating about it. Thanks to everybody that helped.
