Rosin Presses

Ladies and Gentleman, I hope everyone out in CannaLand is doing amazing! So now that I have gotten my growing to the standard I like , I want to start pressing! But there are sooooo many out there I figured the best way would be to ask what you guys have used? What are the positives & Negatives?! Ultimately I want to do bubble hash I do believe butttt I’m up for what you guys think thanks in advanced!!

Great to see you moving forward and looks like an exciting journey going forward. I like the way you are doing this, step by step. My opinion would be to move towards mastering bubble hash first, the initial setup cost and running costs are far less and its definitely a rabbit hole of learning and improving your skills, just like growing. Also going from bubble hash to rosin is better from an extraction point of view, I might be corrected here. But what you put in, is what you get out like making bubble hash. You cant put beer in a keg to make champagne!!!

Personally I find rosin a waste of time, money and yield. However I am not saying no., just that maybe take small steps. There are cheaper presses out there, but also look at parts availability and after sales service.

Then look at the costs of doing bubble hash, $46 for a nice entry level set with decent microns for different grades:

So my advice is start with bubble hash and then move on to rosin. Just my 2 cents.

PS i stop processing at bubble hash, its good enough for me and I love the taste.

What ever press you decide to get make sure both plates are heated. My 1st press only heated 1 plate and after each press I would have to let the bottom plate reheat. It sucked big time. As far as bubble hash, remember you have to extract it, dry it properly and cure it and it will also have Chlorophyll in it. I do dry sift hash now. Sift it and store it, less labor involved. Dry sift can be done with bubble bags and a vibrating tumbler, less mess and no worries about mold. The link for the press that @chrisj posted has dual heated plates and should be great. Just my 2 cents on the subject.

I use a 7ton dulytek dho7 I believe it is. Works awesome. If u wanna press more than a gram I’d suggest dulytek. Works awesome and half the costs of nug smashers with about the same outcome. I’ve had mine like 2 years now and not an issue one yet. Lol. I use it frequently atleast 3 times a week pressing about 40g each time I press some. I blew hash to me is a waste of time unless u want it for extractions I dab everything I ingest
