What’s interesting is that this is probably why cannabis isn’t physically addictive. THC is believed to inhibit GABA release (one of the chemicals associated with alcohol addiction), and doesn’t modify any receptors.
Of course, that’s different from psychological dependence, which can happen for nearly any activity or substance, including cannabis.
