This is a potentially useful fertilizer for Cannabis seed growers.
I just hope that flower growers understand that phosphorus (P) is essentially a micronutrient with Cannabis flower, comparable with Magnesium or Sulfur:
- There is recent evidence that P has no effect on Cannabis flower yield or trichome production above 11 ppm
- Widely publicized Cannabis flower tissue analyses by Advanced Nutrients confirm the small quantities of P in Cannabis flower.
But there are also other reasons to avoid excess Phosphorus in your grow:
- Growers using mycorrhizae definitely want to avoid P as high concentrations are linked with reduced colonization of Cannabis (and other) plant roots.
- Phosphorus pollution from various (mostly agricultural) sources is known to cause eutrophication in freshwater systems. It is a major environmental issue in the Great Lakes region and elsewhere. Always avoid dumping your used root balls anywhere near surface freshwater.
An exciting product that should be used responsibly.
