There’s a lot of different ways to get to an end-product that could be called hash/hashish/kief… But very very short: you make it by collecting and compressing the cannabis plant’s trichomes. How this is done varies thus greatly.
Hash originates in Northern Africa, the Middle-East & Asia (Morocco, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, …) where traditionally the buds are dried, then rubbed and bashed over a fine mesh with sticks to separate the trichs. Then either pressed together by hand or a mechanical (cold) press. This is often known as hashish or kief and is also referred to as dry-sift to distinguish it among other things “bubble hash”.

“Bubble hash” for example is very popular in our Western culture: a technique to make hash by separating trichomes from cannabis buds using ice, water, a couple of buckets and filter bags. Afterwards they are then dried & pressed also.

Even modern-day rosin is technically ‘hash’ as it is obtained by applying great pressure to collected trichomes.

I’ve been wanting to make some, the very traditional way like in this video here:

Not necessarily  Some people just like hash a lot better than weed because of taste or the effect even! I know a grower who turns ALL of his harvest into hash f.e. It’s what you prefer. If you aim to make hash from your flowers though, you typically want a strain that is loaded with trichomes…but then…don’t we just all want that?

Nice i just woke from a hash coma lol. You’ll want to fold and roll the materials several times over on itself and keep rolling it until no more creases. No air access points.

Very large balls you have.

How do u go about burning ur hash. U break it up and sprinkle a joint?? I messed all my last bubble hash up bad. Lol. I took it and washed it all used 25m bag used a 25m bag to press and everything came thru wasn’t dabbable that’s for sure. Lol. Too much material in it I had 9g of dry hash. Looked like brown sugar I left it all out to dry like a powder and it worked great but I messed up pressing.

Being a teenager all the way through the 70s, my preferred way of smoking hash is on the end of a pin. Grab a chunk stick it on a pin light it up, Nose hiT, Nose hiT, Nose hiT. Cough, cough, cough.:partying_face::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::+1:t3:

I usually just throw a little chunk in the pipe sometimes I do that ball or I have a jar of some s*** that’s just chopped up after I wash the bubble and let it dry just chop it instead of grade it down I believe for pressing it you need to grade it down to a fine powder then pack it in your bags so there’s no air pockets to get a nice smooth airless flow that’s what I’ve read anyways here’s a pic of the other style where I just chop it up I use a set of dry sift screens that have three different classifications on it I think they’re 18x20 in and they work great end up with way more Keif than I know what to do with and that’s just off all the trim and crap I never sift any of my Good buds

Nice. I can get a nice flow I just fd up and did all the hash together as I was pressing it not thinking 25m and 25m press bags. Lol. Need to get a smaller micron for pressing my hash if I don’t that way. I’m gonna look now and see what they have. A ok would last forever as u can put a lot of hash on a 2x4 pouch. Lol.
