I habe 6 tents, none of which have intake or outage air. Just some clips and and oscillating tower fans. So I’m using half plastic pots (5&7gal) but I’m having issues with the soil staying wet for too long. When I leave at night I leave my veg tents slightly open at the top for hot air and humidity. When I come back 12 hours later its almost like a smog co.ing from inside. I know I need I take fans and exhaust hosing and a AC with hosing. Is there anything cheap I can do. I’ve spent 10k this summer oh equipment and bs. And im tapped til harvest. I am a med card holder and cultivar so anything helps
Can you show me some pictures of your set up? Maybe, I can figure something out for you
Lessen up the water/fertigation. You know your plants aren’t going to use it all in the time allowed. So use less and it will lessen the extra moisture.
Although… Your plants do love the humidity. What are the actual temps and relative humidity (Rh) in the tents in day time (lights on) and night (lights out)?
Holy crap man you have to have air in and out. That is going to have stagnant air and creat mold and fungus gnats like a mother. You must have air going out to carry away the moisture from the plants metabolizing the water and nutrients. Think of 10 people in a car all breathing. Yuk gonna be a soggy mess! I run only fans pulling air out at the top and inside air movement fans.
This dries out my 3 gallon pots in 1-2 days at 82-87 degrees. I like 78 degrees buts its been 107 here lately.
I run a large 450cfm 6" fan and i open tents on the bottoms when lights are on. I only pull out air up by the lights. The tents get enough negative pressure to work well. I also have a stagnant air tent. It has a tiny fan blowing the hot air straight out into the room. And theres a 4x4 tent that pulls the air out of the room. This way it works without having a air removal fan. But either way air must exchange. The plants use up the air be carefule my friend!
I would also like to mention CO2 levels may be low if you aren’t exchanging any of the air
Ok so my tents are all.setup the same with a few variations. Some habe fans on the top exhaust hole and others just have clip fans and tall tower oscillating fans. I have e exhaust hosing ran but no intake fans I’m broke til harvest… Anyone help?
I have co2 enrichment fed to each tent. The temps can run 80-83° with a co2 ppm of 1145. But with my technaflora nutes I’m having burning issues or uptake issues. Correcting with a lower ph of 5.5 to help the soil flush. The humidity can get up into the 70s. In the morning there’s a smog that’s so thick you can hardly see plants. No my water is running at 71-73°F should I lower that? And what should cloned ph be after adding clonex solution
@MrBlue is on point with water temps. We shall see what he says
68-72 deg we try to keep in that range like low side myself
More oxygen in cooler water therefore why I like that lower side.
