Synthetic Photosynthesis - New inventions!

So the basic gist of this device is similar to CO2 scrubbers which you might find on submarines, airplanes, or spacecraft. This particular set of molecules act like an enzyme, trapping carbon dioxide molecules in a small molecular structure, and then catalyzing a reduction reaction using blue light to produce clean oxygen and a gooey, sugar-like compound which can (theoretically) as a chemical fuel for generators or other equipment.

I know many of you tend to grow in high CO2 environments, so the practical applications might not be immediate, but hopefully, at some indefinite point in the future, we’ll be able to grow plants with ease in space, underwater, or on foreign worlds where CO2 may be overabundant.
