Hi everyone here i am in the last leg of my out door grow.
Entered Flowering a couple weeks now.
My mate grows indoors and his grow has finished he wants to clone some of my stains and put them under his lights.
How does that work as the one and only successful clone I took of my Bergman gold leaf mid to late veg thats been in soil for a few weeks is going into flower at about 2 inches tall.
Will he be able to change his light settings and revert the cuttings back into veg as it grows.
I understand the clone is as old as its parent plant.
Can any one shed some light on this for me
Cheers
24 hour light cycle for a week will kick her back into veg
Thank you very much @Slym3r
Appreciate that lot
Cheers
I have only taken a clone from a flowering plant in 3 weeks of flower.
Thats about where mine are now 2 - 3 weeks
How was your experience @poppa
Cheers
I have done so and treated mine like seeds until I see them rooting then it is back to the life of a cloan.
Hi @jetzpak can you explain a bit more how you went about cloning your cuttings taken from a plant starting out in the flowering stage.
Treating them just like seeds
Cheers
I always take my clones while my plants are a in flower @blackmoon. I keep them under lights for 24hrs for the 1st 2 weeks, then 20/4 another week, then 18/6 for my Veg cycle.
I just took 8 cuts from some plants that are flowering.
They will reveg just fine and grow into normal plants.
I grow in a perpetual dwc setup and it’s the only way I can make the timing work.
The benefit to taking clones during flowering is they will finish faster when you flip them back to flower.
By at least 5 days! From my experiences.
Yeild has always been the same, or better.
Thank you thank you thank you @Tygrow78
That was a perfect reply to my question.
Given me great hope.
I’ve never done it and felt out of my depth and been procrastinating a little stuck got a lot on with my 13 plants outside that I’m already growing at the moment.
Now this brings me to another enquiry.
Once these clones go under the lights for 24hrs for the week at what point would you bring them outside again under the sun if you can or is that a bad idea.
Cheers
I would wait till your clones are big enough with a good root structure before bringing them outside. You’ll need to pay attention to your daylight time, at the moment @blackmoon.
You’ll also want to make sure your plants are gradually acclimated to being outside. I start out by taking my plants outside during daylight hours and inside at night.
Then after a few days, I’ll leave them out 24hrs, then eventually my transplant.
My main concern now is ofcourse time.
The plants im taking the clones from have turned into flower stage.
That gives me about ten weeks for them to grow roots reveg acclimatize grow then make flowers in 10 weeks. Might be better now they stay under my mates lights inside thinking about it. As usual busy life got the better of me.
I did have a go at cloning using a 10 watt light and warm pad in a dome tray but I’m on 12 volt and not much battery bank and the inverter and light on all the time stuffed up our batteries.
My mates grow room was plan b but had to wait til his grow was finished.
Bit late @Tygrow78 I think for bringing them back outside thinking about it now.
Thanks for your support
Well I knew a guy who always took clones now and would have them ready for outside around start to mid may, by mid july had nugs. small but powerful nugs. we often get a run of good weather here prior to the rains coming in. good luck and give it a go
Hi there thanks.

i DO LOVE THE BROAD LEAF Cannabis as they seem to do well with lower temps.?
Ok that’s good to know about the broad leaf strains.
I been up your way a few times.
Considered moving there.
