Tent or full open space for flowering?

Hi everybody guys ,
A simple and straight question ,
If u have a room 6mt long and 5 wide and tall 2.5 mt , would u prefer to use the full room with the light on top ( as industrial crop ) or u think is better to separate in grow tent in order to maximize the lights and temps control?
I mean when is possible , better an open space or preferable divide in grow box ?
I have my opinion but your help will be super appreciated
Let’s say U can have 2000w of HPS lights , and we evaluate yelds and quality …
Which is your church ?

Only just recently got a tent for veg but open room would be my choice as well.
All I’ve used up to this point.
With 2000 w you should have a nice flower area. :+1:

Interesting question/situation. Do you have an option of a tent? like @Hydro , I would veg/ clone in a tent and flower in the full room! Dont know if you have thought of safety/security yet? Its easier to control a tent, especially with light leaks, filter air etc. Just throwing in some ideas around.

I also prefer a full space ,especially for flowering ,
The debate here in my growclub is :

There’s more benefit in create an open environment in order to simulate a natural area
And make grow the plant open in the space

, or gives more benefit a super concentrated light of a grow box?

Do u agree that bigger colas come from the tent , but best plants come from the open space ?
Or u have a different opinion ?

Here the debate is almost getting nervous :rofl::rofl:, and GN opinion count a lot …

Agree , probably the tent is more easy to manage ,
And that’s the point for some …
Some colleague just saying :

“Lots of waist in a full room , more yeld in proportion of the space “

Some says

“Tall lights and wide spaces is the best way for generous monsters “

So here we debate bout this…

Cannacribs video shows large spaces …and these guys are industry…
But as well @PreyBird1 , other people shows that also tent are a perfect setup …
Here talking about to make grow a small commercial operation based in Spain :es:,
With a flowering room of 45/50 plants

@towersgrow. Take the room for flower every day of the week you need the extra space and hight for stretch. Also if you have 2 1000w has you can get tricky and put them on rails so they can slide and do cover more area. Good luck with it all :smiley:

I’ve used both rooms and tents. Rooms do give more room. But i prefer tents. Easier to move plants around when breeding. And i can control my temps better and humidity better using the tent. So for me im tents. But if i could afford to i would do grow chambers like Usu and mike bugby uses.

Starting having doubts …
My colleague here says :

Do u think is easy an inexpensive to control 40/50 square meter? , in terms of temps and humidity ? Summer and winter ? Don’t look to those cannacribs video , they had spend million of dollars for their setup ( to manage much more space ) … so they can control as a tent !

Can u with 10000 euro or so ?

Its two days I can’t sleep well , thinking of the different situations … :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

This grow space won’t be mine , but they ask me to setup … afraid to make the wrong choices for someone that expect straight results

if u can control the light in the 12-12 cycle I would go for the open room ion flower and the tent in veg. Good luck and be safe

I would also go for full room. It is a little bit harder controlling variants such as humidity, air flow, temp, but having more room is extremely helpful. For grows with a lot of crops I find that having that extra space helps routine checks be easier. Also, no problems with heat. Iv been running with my iL8x in a separate little room and its easier to maintain good mobility for yourself and the plants.

I’m not sure why this is even a question. Why switch them at all? Just grow them in the room. Use the tent for germing or cloning.

Well , at first sight could seems an easy question, but ,
U must consider the temps and humidity control and as well the electricity u are going to use considering the concentration of lights , let’s say u live in a cold climate , maybe u prefer a tent .

Some of my colleague make this example :

If u have 2000w for flower , will be convenient in terms of yeld to split on 3 separate box with 3 cmh630de

Instead of have 3xcmh630de in a open space…because lights concentration will be more efficient

However the conclusion for me is :

Veg in tent , flo in open ( especially hot climate )

@towersgrow grow. I dont think 2000w worth of light will be enough for a 40/50 square meter area. And yes I think you would do it with that budget if you already have the lights. 3 good size split systems would do the job nicely they do heat, cool and dehumidifie. Good luck man that sounds like a really nice space and budget to work with :grin::+1:
