Tent research

Hey legends of cannabis.

Looking into a tent set-up, nothing huge but thinking I may as well do it right. Came across this one.

Is this overkill or do you suggest doing it right first time.

I can get a Mars Hydro for half the price, but a touch smaller and less fancy.

Thoughts?

Cheers

I had that setup about a year ago, it was really to small. I went to a 3x3 grew out some pretty good sized plants. If you have the space I would suggest the 3x3 instead!

@grizzlyhigh I’ve been growing in a 2x4 exclusively for a few years now. @nacho151 is absolutely correct (IMHO). I grow 1 plant at a time and I use all of my tent. If you can swing a 3X3 or a 2x4 it will make a huge difference. I would use a 2x2 for clones or maybe keep a small Mother but I can’t see myself trying to finish one in it. But that’s me and I’m not…normal. Or Abby Normal for that matter

Appreciate the input.

Im leaning towards this one.

Less fancy, but has everything I need as in bigger.

I only ever plan on one plant at a time. Especially due illegality of it here.

Pretty sure I can make a 3x3 work.

I love everything about both my ac infinity especially my 4x4 …. So much that I plan on getting another one soon

Looks like a good setup, but don’t be surprised if that exhaust fan sounds like an attack helicopter revving up for strafing run! Hopefully they silenced them! I found out the hard way! Lol! I found out quick the AC Infinity exhaust fans won’t keep the neighborhood awake when they are on!

Ill keep that in mind. Don’t need to give flashbacks to any war vet around.

Even a 4x4 I’d say…gives you so much more options.

Wish I had 4x4…… get as big as you can. You’ll probably be happy you did later on

I just won the FC-3000 (non-movable rails) in a giveaway and have it in my 2x2x4’ tent

A 3x3’ footprint would be ideal though to give enough space for one biggun’ as everyone said already :+1:

Also, they don’t picture it there but you’ll want an intake fan too (my intake is through the ducting on the left in the pic). The graphic only shows the exhaust fan with carbon filter setup…with such a small space i’ve started running the exhaust fan and carbon filter outside the tent but it’s not as effective in neutralizing the smell versus having the carbon filter in the tent (since you have to worry about legality).

I just bought 4×4 Ac infinity advanced grow tent system. It’s a very nice system. Haven’t had the chance to grow in it yet. But very nice.
Shipping was expensive though .

Hey I’m new and working on my setup. Any advice or direction for a tent for indoor grow. Brand ? Size? Etc… Thanks in advance😊

Welcome to the forum @nayalotus
I guess it depends on space? How many do you want to grow ? How much money do you want to spend. Things like that.

Agreed with @greyalien44 What I can say though is, if you have the space I’d go for a 4x2 minimum, preferably a 4x4 even. Anything smaller is fine for a first grow but getting boring real soon. A 4x4 just gives you a lot more ''room" to play with  If you have the space, might as well go straight for that, the price difference isn’t significant.

Then brands…well…can’t go wrong with any these days anymore basically. Gorilla is simply the best imho, quality wise. Thick fabric, big quality zippers, … But you pay for it.
AC Infinity & Secret Jardin come next, for me.
Then you have all Chinese brands like Vivosun, Spider Farmer, Mars Hydro which are all pretty much the same stuff with a different name. Not ‘bad’, but not the quality of the others above. You will see tiny holes in the fabric after a few years with them.

I can re arrange the shed. It has my home gym packed away in it, so it could definitely be organised better to fit.

Appreciate the input. Still talking the wife around to buy one :joy:

Yep if u can shoot for a 4x4 or 5x5 that would be great. U don’t have to fill it everytime but it is hard to not fill spaces u have available. Anything smaller is only asking for one or 2 small plants and then u’ll wanna upgrade bigger. If u enjoy smoking and have a passion to grow. Go all out at the start big enough tent. Make sure to get a solid light off the start no lights that contain Dan’s inside them ect. I see a clean million deals on bad ass lights on FB marketplace. Like some one run spider farmer lights 4k for 200 each. Hlg 600r 230 each ect if u wanna shoot for cheaper I’d say seek out FB.marjetplace snear u and see what they have. I even see some nice ac infinity fans and all like a 1/3 the price to buy new
