Try it for 30 mins then increase. Some people reported damaged leaves in like 12 minutes?
I think they were running UVB not UVA. i have heard don’t run UVB or UVC I can run it for 1 sec on up with three cycles per on time, thanks again I’ll have to watch em close and be careful.
Marty
I run my UVA bars all the time. And I did see a conversation about not running UVB as much because it can fry your plants. I don’t remember where but it was not all that long ago.
Yep just returned from reading up on it all again. The UVB and UVC are the culprits. Says that IR and UVA are needed for strong stems and max THC and Terpine production. I just turned them on lol.
Thanks !!

Once mine go into flower, I run them all the time. I haven’t had any issue with burn.
Blueberry harvested, more of @PreyBird1 Runtz x Slapz right back in place!
I just transplanted them. EDIT: lowered the net and added a sixth plant. I will increase the light intensity over the next couple days and then flip.
Bag size, nutes, and kind of soil? Your topping and scrogging ? How many growing tips. Sorry for the many questions, I am trying to get this low growing multiple big buds per plant down. Look great!

Now your talking Missouri with the Osage tree stuff. Also known as hedgeapple, and Osage Orange. Indians made their bows from it. It also burns so hot in a wood stove it will burn them out. Hard and heavy wood. and greenish yellow when you cut it. Make a fencepost out of it and it will be there 50 years later.

And with thorns on the thorns-thorns…the deer wont run through it more than once.
Neither will people lol. Walked miles and miles of it down in my hometown of Jasper. It is going away now replaced with fence… but when I was a kid living on the farm, the hedgerows were THE place to hunt. One on each side, with a mind to where the other was ALWAYS. So you don’t shoot your hunting partner. Big red Fox Squirrel, love hedge trees, and it was so thick, there were always quail in the hedgerows to be flushed out. Boy do I miss living in the country. But for all the warm memories, country life is hard if you have a farm.

I used to have some A-hole neighbors with 4-wheelers that would pop a wheelie and plow though my split rail fence and tear around in my side yard and in the mud by my pond. I went in the forest preserve across the road and dragged out a ton of thorny branches out and placed em down in the tall grass scrub just outside of my fence, they weren’t too hard for the County to catch with a couple flat tires.
The bags used here were 5 gallon fabric. The nutrients I’ve been using through veg have been a combination of fox farms general purpose and some Ventana plant science. Now that they are in flower, I will use some fox farms tiger bloom in combination with Ventana plant science. The soil is a mix of reuse soil with a bag of soil conditioner, some more fox farms ocean forest, Azomite minerals, perlite, mosquito bits, diatomaceous earth, worm castings and Coco coir.
Top dressing at various intervals through the flower stage is a mix of the same soil mixes before with additional fox farms fruit and flower time release fertilizer mixed into it. I also bumped the worm castings in the top dressing.
Since using @TheMadFlascher Bob’s BudBusterPro, I haven’t really been topping at all, just some LST and they have been branching well on their own. The Scrog net is a 3 1/2 inch net of nylon. It’s relatively inexpensive and if I can’t lift it off of the plants at the end I just cut it.
Still loving country life, and yes it’s hard, and sometimes painful work, but worth every minute. Will never move back to the city.
Holy crap…lol…and I thought I was a mix it up kinda guy. I have had great grows, and bad grows mixing nutes. Thanks so much for all the very detailed info on what you do ! It is much appreciated! I have a complete set of Fox farms stuff, never even tried it. Apparently it works pretty damn good !
Currently I’m off on a 100% organic trial. So far so good, already had one organic that turned into a diaster. Keeping my fingers crossed lol. One of the reasons I keep wanting to get the Organic thing down is the soil reuse thing. Supposedly recharging the used soil with all the amendments makes it get better and better So far this grow looks like I will only be topping three of the six. The others are staying short and bushy. Another reason I am not going to try and LST is that I have three different strains all growing differently.
Again thanks for all the great info !

Day 12 of flower- scrog fills corner-to-corner.
Defoliation was done today. One more spray of @TheMadFlascher Bob’s BudBusterPro Monday evening and then let them go to finish.
Looking kick ass as usual. Just waiting to stretch a bit it looks like.
How long do you veg youe plants? 8 weeks?
I veg 1-2 months. Depends sometimes more. I do like to grow 7’ foot plants. But ive been trying to flip sooner and stay shorter.
Yes, they started to bolt over the last 36 hours! I am going to install a second net about eight inches above this to support the buds, as my experiences with this (your) cultivar has determined I will need it!
