Really keen on going the composting toilet route oneday. We have your standard flushing toilets, 4 of them, all leading to septic tanks and french drains. Can say in 10 years they have been well worth it, but when trouble happens it gets expensive, plus hate watching a very limited resource ( water) go down the drain.

Thanks @chrisj yep that water waste just for flushing away a poo.
And if the loo bowl badly designed it takes a 2nd 3rd flush for it to go beyond the bend.
Then theres the what can be an embarrassing smell.
I love being in charge of what happens with my bodily waste.
Use it appropriately and consciously and ofcourse its outside with a great view let the wind blow free.
