The first picture is a ladybug pupa. The second one is actually a larval stage convergent lady bug.
Looks like your crop’s really, really safe for ladybugs.
The larva are far better predators than the adults!
They sure are, this one plant has 6 large larvae looking to pupate, 2 small larvae eating away and 2 additional chrysalises. I am seeing at least 1 larvae and chrysalis per plant. This is roughly 2 weeks after releasing 12,000 adult ladybugs.
Or plenty to eat? Lol
Plant damage is a passing problem at this point. There is minor evidence of feeding, but no pests to be found.
