This may be old news to a lot of you, but I just found this, didn’t even know there was a test for sex on cannabis before I found this. The reason was, I was looking at a small 4" plant, a trifoliate that is just beginning to get veg matter at the leaf and stem junction but could not determine if it was just undifferentiated or if it was M/F. So out of curiosity I did a search online for sexing cannabis and found this company. Great reviews on their product. Know nothing about how it works as have not purchased it. It says that it can sex cannabis within 7 days of germination. All of the user reviews say test is 100% accurate. This would be great for those germing regular seed for breeding. Anyway, thought I would put up the link. Not bad pricing either $60 for 4 tests.
@sssportsmfg , I wonder if these work, sceptical of everything these days, people can buy reviews too.I did a quick search and saw many are available, wonder if anyone has used this technology and if they can confirm it can work.
I have no idea Chris, I don’t grow for seed or do any breeding. I mainly put that up for @PreyBird1. I figured if you could really get the ratio right 100% it would sure help tent space. What got me thinking about it was my Apple Betty came up as a tri-folliate and every time I’ve had one it turned out to be a hermie. But I’m. Not gonna spend $60 for one tiny plant lol.
Theres a lot of buzz about this right now. And @bullfrog420 knows a bit about this. Its a great idea and mak8ng it possible to do at home is what were after. And not sending in samples to be tested. I would buy a machine that could sex plants for me in a heartbeat
