To prune or not to prune? And leaf decolorization

My first attempt at growing failed miserably; all ten plants died. I posted here and several members graciously identified the problems (Alternaria disease, incorrect water ph) but the plants were too far gone.
These two plants are autos and germinated on April 12. They are doing much better than my first attempt and I am wondering if I should prune the fan leaves now that flowers look to be ready to come out. I am growing these only to extract the CBD.
Also, two photos show a fungus/discolorization on the leaves. I have sprayed with a fungicide containing Chlorothalonil (suggested by a member) but have not seen a change. Is this “rust” fungus or something else? Luckily, it has not spread to the upper portion of the plants.
Thanks for the continued assistance!

That’s no discoloration its an assault on you plant! You have a leaf miner bug eating it. You can see its trail where its eating the leaf.

Thank you! How do I get rid of it?

Here is a link that explains what they are and how to kill em.

They live in the leaf tissue.

Thank you @PreyBird1 !
What about pruning as a separate issue to the leaf miner bugs?

I’d hold off on doing any pruning to your plant right now @ArtVandalay. There’s really no need to. It’s not real bushy, and your plant needs all it’s leaves for it’s photosynthesis. Plus it might need all the leaves it has if you start losing some from that infection.
