I have 4 purple haze feminized plants in a 3x3 tent that are 3 weeks old and are growing really short but bushy. They are no more than 7 or 8 inches tall. I was wondering if i had my 315w MH too far from the plants. I got it 40 inches from plant to light. Can someone help me in this?

I have nothing to back this, but I’m going to say that’s a little to far away. I’m not sure what MH is, but usually you can Google a particular light, and it will give you height for veg, and flower.
I don’t think either of my lights require 40 inches

If your lights were far they stretch… Squatty plants usually have alot of light so the don’t have to reach for the light…

So I would either guess genetics or tons of light

Metal halide. It’s a high intensity discharge. Lots of power consumption and high output.
