I’m curious when you Transplant from your solo cups/1 gals to your final pot do you typically water the day of Transplant? And 2nd are you feeding right off the bat after Transplanting or does Transplanting into hot soil sustain the plants nutrient needs for a period of time?
Thanks for your time and knowledge!

I usually transplant 3-4 weeks from sprout in to a 1 gallon and then a couple of weeks later into their final 3 gallon home.I use coco coir only so I water the day of transplant until you get a bit of runoff

It depends on what medium you are using,I use coco coir so I feed of the bat from the start.if you are using a soil like FFOF then I would say you good on nutrients for about 4-6 weeks and a soil like FFHF you have nutrients in that soil for about 3-4 weeks.if you are in soil best way to know wen you must feed is to check your runoff numbers with a tds/ppm meter and when your numbers go under 1,000 ppm star feeding. Hope this helps good luck and happy growing

You said you use coco so you water right off the bat after transplant to a little run off. Would that be true for soil as well ?

When I first transplant in soil I always give it a bit runoff si I make sure the soil is nice a moist and there is no dry pockets in your pot. You want to make sure in your transplant that you give a bit of runoff for that reason so you don’t end up with any dry pockets. After that just water as needed until the plant gets it’s roots going and plant starts growing yoy will see the plant needing more water.
