Been a day or so since weve had any updates. But yesterday i finally got so set up the 5x5 that i bought about 6 months ago. It was too tall so i didnt have space to set it straight up. So i was using it to veg laying on its side. But we got it set up and stayed up late to get the new plants set up in their new home.

So in the process of setting up this new grow space im wanting to put in some new lights.
So ive come to realize through trial and error that these fancy ass 2000 watt leds arent what they say they are and not really necessary for promotion of good growth.
So I’ve been looking into some of the florescent tube lights. Because they have grow light bulbs for them. I just figured i could get more coverage for vegging. And i dont know shit about building led light bars.
Any recommendations on lights for coverage of my whole grow space.

vegged a lot of seedlings and clones under 4 foot shoplights no fancy bulbs
cool white used them for years and they work well and will not break the bank
Lowe/HD sold them with bulbs at one time
nor did I until I built 1900 watts of lights 
I found working with LED strips to be
painless, me not knowing shit about them was the biggest problem
after watching a dude built and test different kinds of LEDs it clicked
so I built lights
only thing I wish I did was to go with more blue light for veg, but not knowing anything
I used all 3500k OK for veg a bit on the red side

Got some new things in yesterday. So i got some new seeds in soil. I learned by reading through a thread that clones flower faster than growing from seed. Thank you @PreyBird1… so i finally got me a psycloner. Ill be taking clones of my current grow just for practice. So if anyone wants a few lmk.
I also received my jacks classic fertilizers recommended by @dequilo. Some cal mag, and some silica by blue planet arriving today. So i think im all set for the next season or two.

used it since 1982 in many different grow setups and many different crops
remember always better to start with new ferts at half strength so you are not
surprised
you can always give your plants more, it can be hard to get rid of too much

So im curious, do you do the half teaspoon per gallon weekly. Or the quarter teaspoon every water.

or 1/2 teaspoon in a 2 gallon watering every other watering more or less
I just look at the plants
if I was using it in a greenhouse growing bench crops using an injector setup
I might use it full strength
Jacks is pretty well buffered and pro-mix helps also
I watched the Cash Croppers on Toke City run Jacks to burn on their plants dial
it back a bit and grow on
