We need to remember that science is as much about its failures as its successes

How have you learned from your mistakes and failures?

Totally agree. Too often “we” get the scientific method out of order. We assume data, or exclude data, that doesn’t fit the hypothesis/narrative. Also, we get so focused on a single aspect and we ignore things that have a tremendous impact (forest through the trees). Now granted I am no PhD, but this occurs in business daily. Mistakes and errors make you stronger, let you learn your blind spots, change your approach, improve your methods, reevaluate your goals. I love hitting walls in business because then you get to see if what you are doing is truly worth doing. If it is, then there isn’t a wall you can’t get over.
