Hey @memberdirectory, this is a broad and highly subjective topic, so everyone can get in on the discussion: what do you predict will be the major industry changes for 2019? Last year saw so many amazing developments, including the rollout of adult-use cannabis legalization in Canada to the Farm Bill that included federal acceptance of hemp farming here in the states for the first time in nearly three-quarters of a century. The future certainly looks bright for some of us in the industry, but for many others here in the U.S. and in most countries across the globe, the wait continues.
What cannabis changes do you expect to see in 2019?
Arizona legalization advocates will fight over two separate ballot measures. Neither will make the ballot."
On the business side, I’d love to see brands care more about authenticity and compliance on social media, rather than buying all the fake followers and following only a few back. It’s like the industry made up their own thing, and it’s just awful to see. Less focus on numbers, more on engagement!
Also hoping for more professional branding, as “weedy” branding just isn’t necessary anymore.
