Is it 5.9 for blue and 7 for pink and 7.2 for red.
Never heard of that before. I know lowering your temps near end of flower may awaken dormant purple pheno traits, but that’s it.

What purpose does it serve other than change color?

That’s all it does is slight color change and only in certain strains not worth messing up your plants

You might be thinking of temperature drops. Keeping the temp lower turns some buds purple. With that low temp you also risk slow growth or small buds. Just get seeds that have those types of phenos.

the best color of buds to me is green with red hairs with frost covering every thing i am just old school…
