What's eating my roots?

Found these beasties gnawing on my roots, im thinking either fungus gnat larvae (but they aren’t transluscent) or corn seed maggots.

Can anyone advise on identity and appropriate treatment?

thanks a lot

Yes looks like root maggots or fungus nats. Very difficult thing to get rid of but you can try spraying the roots with a neem oil solution. You will need to make sure you clean your equipment and environment on your next grow.

Do they have red eyes?

It’s called Stonedae wormises. New species.
