16,4×16,4 ft Outdoor Mother Earth Spring 2020 Grow

So this will be my extra outdoor grow space in Spring (Sept/Nov). The plants will be planted into mother earth herself.

Yes I know there is still work to be done, but I luckily have extra hands that can help get the grass out and work the soil.
There is already a compost heap going, that will be worked in where the plants are going.

The compost heap has been worked on for awhile already. The option to grow cannabis on the property wasn’t always considered, but thanks to some convincing by me. The option opened up. The compost was meant for a vegetable garden :joy::rofl::joy: that is now going for my Cannabis Grow Space.
We will put some shade netting fencing up later. The soil still has to be prepared and we are still months away. Enough time to get the area prepared.
I’m looking to put 6 to 8 plants there, but I don’t want them to grow sky high.

Sounds lekker and looks perfect @docdre. What you thinking of planting. The grow area looks nicely hidden behind that double facebrick wall.

I will have 2 grow areas and I want to populate with different strains for abit of diversity. Maybe some Strawberry Kush, Super Lemon Haze, Swazi x AK47, Purple Durban Poison, and Moby Big but I’m still thinking about it. How many plants do you guys think I will be able to fit in there? Keep in mind, I won’t let them grow all out bush. I will be giving them some guidance, just to make them more manageable.

Could you give me the size of the field that you will cultivate your plants in, in feet or centimeter please. I’ll try my best to give you a good guess that may be or nearly correct. Am nearly still less than novice for the outdoor cultivation?

The size of the area is in the description.
It’s ±13 foot by 13 foot, I’m planning to have around 8 plants there. I’m looking at around 3 ft centres and 2 rows will give me 8 plants in that area. I’m not going to let them grow Monsters. I’ll keep them as manageable as possible. Plus I’ll be having other another 8 or 10 plants in the courtyard.
Another thing to keep in mind is. Our countries laws are not yet set in stone for cannabis. All the rules and regulations has to be in places by Sept. Otherwise it is open grow for us. Meaning we can plant as many Cannabis as what we want. Currently we can grow as much as we can justify to the investigating officer. Its a Constitutional Court Ruling that gave the government 2 years to come up with all the rules and regulations for cannabis in SA from the date the court made the ruling. Otherwise we will be granted open grow rights by the Constitutional Court. 2 years ends in Sept.

Just something to read, to understand my story.

So @Hemp_Nature a long story, short. I might grow more or less plants, depending what happens by this September 2020. If I grow less, they will be big plants. If I can grow more, I’ll have more strain diversity and more manageable plants.

Could you teach me how did you calculated and divided that if you don’t mind please?

3 ft x 4 plant = 12 ft space
4 plants x 2 rows (3 or 4 ft spacing) = 8 plants
The space is ±13 ft x 13 ft
± being the magic in this equation. I might get 1 or 2 ft more. I didn’t really measure the space to the inch. So the calculation might change. But 8 plants is the goal number, no matter the calculation in space. But lets just wait till I can measure and layout the space correctly. Then I can give you a better answer. But 8 plant remains the number. Lockdown is slowing things at the moment.
