It comes apart and you can attach it to a drill! I got it from duluthtrading.com
I was just wondering if your chiller has helped control the ph fluctuation since you added it to your setup?
Well so far ph flux has heen a stable 5.8- 5.9
this is what the ppms are at now and there is zero burn happening so far!
I’m up to 1200 ppm on my trough system. Nice green happy plants. I have found They tend to take more In and not burn in hydro With the rapid growth , the nutrients don’t just sit there like in dirt they are mobile and passing over the roots vs just sitting on them
hows this grow going so far @PreyBird1 making me want to run hydro all over.
I finished the Run and flowers is amazing! They just got out of control huge.
Heres a flower of it im smoking on right now!
All I know is too much over 70 to ú5osh and it started to get me issues here. I’d say but don’t hold me to it it’s been a long while of going water. Around 73ish degrees or so. Too much warmer and algae and bacterias start to form or grow on the water. Add light to those temps of water and it forms really fast. I’d wait it out til a pro comes in. But my memory tells me all I knew who ran rdwc ran coolers on the low 70s maybe even higher 60s
I run at 72-73 makes big difference. Also leaf ratio is a humidity issue. Too many and the RH hits 85%
I also run my DWC at 72 and I haven’t seen any deficiencies and they grow much faster than my previous grows that were set for 70 degrees. I turned down my temp to 70 for the last couple weeks of flower for my last grow and was treated to quite the color display. I will probably do it again for this one. Cheers!
Looks amazing
Ok reset the hydro system.
I made 20 gallons of nutrient concentrate for the system.
That put my net pots right at about one inch of air gap. Right where i wanted it. I also poured nutrient solution throught all the net pots once i got all the hydroton in place and all 4 plant lids snapped onto the buckets.
Set the PH to 5.8.
Water is 75f°
Ppms were higher than i wanted at 1500. I like 900-1000ppms. I may run for the night and then thin it out a little.
I set the light to 54% intensity and the spectrum to spring time with a 20 minute sunset mode on.
Ok light at 55% was too much heat. Pushef the tent to 86° and the water in the system to 85° so i tirned the light down a tad and fired up the chiller. Now were at 76 in the canopy and the water is at 72 degrees. I let them eat a lottle more food then i just added another gallon of R/o water. There ppms started out at 1700! I just let the run with it high.
Just a quick peek at one plants roots. The new growth is not burnt from the hot feed they started on. And when they left the cloner they got a little toasted by the light
Got some more air stones for the hydro system. They were $10 cheaper so i just got 8 more. Next run im changing them out. There not easily cleaned and if they dry out there a pia to try and clean then dont work very good after that they kinda plug up. Id try and use a cleaner on them like salt cleaner or something but i suspect its cheaper to just replace them. Vs trying to clean them and use em again.
Water temp 71
Air temp 77
Ppms 1500 i want to be around 900 in veg?
Ph 6.1
I added 3 gallons of R/o water to the system and no nutrients to see if there eating more/less?
I use to boil my air stones and blow out to clean and then usually a old toothbrush on the sides.
Looking good for now. Just on cruise control. Raised the lights brightness 6% and switched the seasons to summer. Once i get like dime size buds ill swap over to Autumn light schedule and i will adjust the sunrise and sun set times. Oh and i flipped them last night as well.
Ok the bottom left plant is having an adverse reaction. The other 3 plants are the same and are not having the issues. And the plant seems to be com9ng out of it but i have no idea whats going on.
R/H 57%
Ambient temp 75
Water temp 72
Ppms 1900 high*
Ph 6.0
The newer growth doesnt seem to have this issue. Likes its growing out of it?
There getting huge!
Nice even canopy
This is only my 3rd hydro grow guys im trying to get it down.
Kind of looks like it’s A little hot for that particular plant. 1900 is up there. Doesn’t look like anything particular to me, so good chance it’s just sensitive.
