Today is the final heat pump installation day… Lol excited to see it running. The girls are starting to pack on the crystals and the nugs are filling up the room quick this is gonna be epic
And we finally have lift off
Heat pump up and running well .omgoodness sooo glad that’s over with haha
@Jess @tdubwilly @missiles @dbrn32 wanna help me understand the VPD chart better. I’m assuming it’s the dark curvature in the middle of the chart I’m aiming for?I’m in week 3 of flower what should I run my heat pump and humidity at for optimal results
@maggie this is my journal, thought umay like to drop in for a peek
don’t worry about reading the whole thing it’s long lol @pomeroymc take a look this is a week ago I’ll take a new pic tn
I’m not the best to try and explain the vpd chart lol let me see if I can get you some help. @doobienoobie @merlin44 would you be able to help him with the vpd chart
Wow they are budding up nicely! There’s a lot of work being done in there
Yeah typically the charts have a highlighted section trying to be in that range on temp and humidity maximizes the plants growth rate. It puts the plant into the best conditions to allow water and nutrients to pass through the plants cells easiest. Like if it’s too hot or too dry the plant will go into protection mode and try to store as much water as possible rather than using it to grow. That’s an extreme but you get the idea.
Yay tks guys;)
For example
86° / 80% humidity won’t get it done in the first couple of weeks but 70° / 70% will get it done
I have seen other charts with a super dark strip the center that must be the ideal temp/humidity target I guess
Yes. There’s not an exact vpd to work off of but moor of a range
This video will explain how to use vpd to your advantage.
There’s a follow up video to I believe on low vpd
Thanks brother
Yeah your chart is a little different. Here’s the one I use.
Same thing just different method to show which numbers are the good range.
Tks buddy mucho gracias
Would you say that each column from left to right is a week in the cycle?
No the one I use is more generalized than the one @tdubwilly posted. I don’t have the ability to fine tune week by week yet. So I just try to stay in the green as best I can on my chart.
Like I’m currently sitting at 77° F with 70% rh. This is for veg obviously as we start trying to get rid of the humidity to be at safe numbers during flower.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any charts to add to this, because I normally calculate my own VPD and adjust accordingly.
The main thing I can add is that plants like different VPD levels at different points of their life cycle, which is important to keep in mind.
Here are two articles made by GN which discuss VPD:
Hope this helps!
