The regulations and requirements for disposal of cannabis waste can vary widely from state to state. One thing for sure - if you choose to ignore the requirements it can result in significant fines and even loss of your license. At JWC Environmental, we’ve worked with numerous cultivators, growers and even testing labs all over the world to help them customize waste disposal strategies to fit their exact needs.

The team at JWC Environmental has seen the challenges cultivators face as they try to solve waste disposal problem. We have supported many growers after failed attempts to deploy noisy, gas powered wood chippers that spew exhaust fumes onto the grow floor. We have bailed out cultivators who have built up huge stockpiles of waste root balls, stocks and rock wool with no idea how to get rid of them.

Our experience also goes beyond just grow waste disposal. We are also helping CDB extraction operations pre-condition hemp and cannabis for extraction. We are providing shredders designed to meet the size requirements of their extraction operations.

We want to help – come learn from us.

Monster industrial grinders have two rows of sharp steel cutters that rotate slowly and with incredibly high torque to turn tough solids into small pieces.

  • They are powered by quiet, electric motors, transmitting zero gas and exhaust fumes
  • The SHRED series are available with hoppers and stands configured to your specific needs.
  • They can handle wet or dry materials shredding it down to meet regulatory requirements

.

I have been that dude with the broken shredder before! Cannabis kills chippers!

100% agree with @Growernick. How many chippers will you have to buy this year? Sure, they are relatively cheap - if you don’t count the fact that you have to buy more than one every year to shred your waste.

Does your operation “grind” to a halt (pun intended) when your chipper get’s jammed up? How are you supposed to scale an operation with unreliable equipment?

Oh Dayum… you might need a better solution… Just sayin’

That’s a great one!

We went through so many cheap chippers to get rid of our waste…

How are our @growopowners, @GrowOpEmployees, @mastergrowers disposing of waste like fibrous stems and stalks?

Those look like some gnarly teeth!

The cooler aspect is that we have a vast variety of teeth and configurations to fit needs for destruction, extraction or any application that would like to make “BIG THINGS, small”.

Think of us as a “Lego factory” for grinders. More importantly, we take a true consultative approach to identifying the solution that fits our partners exact needs— every time.

Thanks @keith! C’mon over and get those questions in

Great question. We make shredders for all sorts of applications, we have found that cannabis is not too difficult to shred. Our first cannabis customer bought a unit about four years ago and has not needed any after market support.

What different models are best for the cannabis industry? What does dual shaft mean?

What other applications are your machines utilized for?

Hemp is arguably the hottest topic in cannabis today. Any plans to get into hemp harvesting/processing?

Another great question; lets review the video together:

Dual shafts means we have two parallel shafts with cutters that are rotating toward each other at about 60rpm

Our 1-SHRED, 3-SHRED, 4-SHRED and 7-SHRED have all been successful with cannabis destruction. Some factors when selecting a unit are desired through put and what parts of the plant you want to destroy
